Passport validity for European Union. A UK passport must meet two conditions: On day of entry to the EU, issued less than 10 years ago. On intended day of exit from EU, at least 3 months left before expiry date. (Also Switz/Iceland/Norway but not Ireland.) independent.co.uk/travel/europe/…

This shows everything wrong with the way Leadbeater approaches assisted suicide. Writing "clear" restrictions into the law isn't enough, unless there are also mechanisms in place to prevent abuse and expansion. The degree of naïvety here is dangerous.

MPs this is not normal for a bill of this magnitude. You are now 12 days away from Third Reading. The Royal College of Physicians is warning of concerning deficiencies. You have to take responsibility.

Let's add the Royal College of Physicians to the Royal College of Psychiatrists, 1k doctors, the former President of the Family Division of the High Court, the Equality and Human Rights Commission, and Liberty to the list of people saying the Assisted Suicide Bill isn't safe.
