@TheDCJunkyard I’ve had several Dreamcasts for over 20 years. Only one turned as yellow as in the photo — I swapped its shell with a broken one that was still good. Easy fix back then, but I get it’s harder now to find “free” spares.

@NostalgicX86 @thecomputerclan I can’t send you DMs. For my part, I bought the Dreamcast at launch in Spain after saving for several years for a PS1 or N64, and I’ve never stopped playing; a few years ago I decided to upgrade to a PS2… the Dreamcast has aged better.

@WeebyRevy I have a huge collection of original Dreamcast games. 70% needed restoration. Hunting for my 3rd Sega Rally 2 disc because the others are damaged... turns out GD-ROMs last ~20 years. GD emu is saving my collection, not the other way around!

Am I the only one who hates console mods that remove the disc drive? I see these for both the PS1 and Dreamcast a lot. Like... Why would you remove the ability to ever actually buy and play games in their native format on the original hardware? Surely there's other ways to play your collection of ISOs on the hardware...
