Kansan and U.S. Army Veteran, Corey Schramm, testified about the positive impact Veteran Treatment Courts can have on the lives of justice-involved veterans once their time in uniform comesto an end. Thank you, Corey, for your service to our nation and sharing your story with us.

Reviving fusion voting would be a small step back to a 19th-century American innovation—one that let people organize as broadly as they wanted and bring that full coalition power into real elections. @UnitedKansas @russellafox9

The decision to waive oil sanctions on Russia & Iran freed up millions of barrels of Russian & Iranian oil, enriching two of our adversaries & further funding their aggression against the U.S., Ukraine and our partners in the Middle East. Now that the waiver on the Russian oil sanctions has expired, it should not be extended. There is little evidence that the waiver produced any significant relief to American consumers during the month it was in effect. However, the waiver has generated billions in revenue for Moscow, sustaining Vladimir Putin's war against Ukraine & efforts to undermine the U.S. around the world. Russia is actively working with Iran, providing support that endangers our troops in the region. Iran continues to reap significant revenue due to its current waiver, providing financial relief to an adversary we are actively fighting. Any additional waivers for Russia or Iran would be against our national interests.

Fusion voting peaked in Kansas in the 1890s, when Populists and Democrats united to sweep the state—winning the executive branch, electoral votes, courts, and seats in Congress. A rare moment where a minor party coalition reshaped power. @UnitedKansas

Idaho cut wraparound services for people with schizophrenia. In the weeks after the service was discontinued, there was a preventable death among the program's former clients. And another. And another. And another. nytimes.com/2026/04/07/hea…

🚨MIT researchers have mathematically proven that ChatGPT’s built-in sycophancy creates a phenomenon they call “delusional spiraling.” You ask it something, it agrees. You ask again, and it agrees even harder until you end up believing things that are flat-out false and you can’t tell it’s happening. The model is literally trained on human feedback that rewards agreement. Real-world fallout includes one man who spent 300 hours convinced he invented a world-changing math formula, and a UCSF psychiatrist who hospitalized 12 patients for chatbot-linked psychosis in a single year. 🚨 Stanford just proved that a single conversation with ChatGPT can change your political beliefs. 76,977 people. 19 AI models. 707 political issues. One conversation with GPT-4o moved political opinions by 12 percentage points on average. Among people who actively disagreed, 26 points. In 9 minutes. With 40% of that change still present a month later. The scariest finding: the most persuasive technique wasn't psychological profiling or emotional manipulation. It was just information. Lots of it. Delivered with confidence. Here's the catch: the models that deployed the most information were also the least accurate. More persuasive. More wrong. Every time. Then they built a tiny open-source model on a laptop, trained specifically for political persuasion. It matched GPT-4o's persuasive power entirely. Anyone can build this. Any government. Any corporation. Any extremist group with $500 and an agenda. The information didn't have to be true. It just had to be overwhelming. Arxiv, Science .org, Stanford, @elonmusk, @ihtesham2005

.@POTUS: From the very first day I announced my campaign, I have vowed that I would NEVER allow Iran to have a nuclear weapon. This fanatical regime has been chanting “Death to America” for 47 years — and it should have been handled long before I arrived in office.

Fusion voting—still used in states like New York—shows parties can play a productive role beyond just being “spoilers.” It lets them build coalitions, signal values, and influence outcomes without splitting the vote. @andycraig @raineycenter

In a fusion-legal system, minor parties stay both independent and relevant — and hundreds of legislators have won office with support from voters across more than one party line. That’s coalition politics in action. @DanCantor_

S&P 500 futures and oil futures flashed an unusual burst of activity early Monday minutes before a market-moving social media post from President Donald Trump. The timing of the volume spikes across both equities and crude caught the attention of traders, particularly given the absence of an obvious catalyst at the moment they occurred. In a fusion voting system, minor parties can either run their own candidate or cross-nominate a major party nominee. @DMorrisMichael @WorkingFamilies That second option lets voters say: “I support this candidate and these values,” by casting their ballot under the minor party’s line. More choice. More voice.

🇺🇸 Civics 101: What is a Naturalized Citizen? There’s often confusion around the term “naturalized citizen.” Let’s clear it up. A naturalized citizen is someone who was not born a U.S. citizen but legally became one through the naturalization process. The process generally looks like this: 1️⃣ A person immigrates to the United States 2️⃣ They become a lawful permanent resident (green card holder) 3️⃣ After several years, they apply for naturalization 4️⃣ They pass background checks, an English and civics test 5️⃣ They take the Oath of Allegiance to the United States After that oath, they are officially a U.S. citizen. That means they can: ✔ Vote ✔ Serve in the military ✔ Run for most public offices ✔ Enjoy the full protections of the Constitution The only major exception written into the Constitution is that naturalized citizens cannot serve as President or Vice President. America has always been a nation shaped by immigrants who chose to become Americans. Naturalized citizens are just as much citizens as anyone born here. Understanding how our system works is part of protecting it. 🇺🇸 Civic knowledge strengthens democracy.
