Japan 🤝 Coventry! The biggest pleasure to meet up with @ccfc1987 and his wife whilst we are in Osaka! 🇯🇵 The most fun evening hearing about how Kazu first became a @Coventry_City fan in the 90s after being a student at Henley College! #PUSB

I had the chance to talk about becoming an author, building a creative career, and why being from Coventry has been such a big part of what I do. We also heard from former @Coventry_City player Dave Busst, who spoke about his playing career and the importance of resilience!

A great session this afternoon at the @CBSArena as part of @coventrycc’s Primary Aspirations Week. Nearly 100 primary school pupils joined a special event hosted in partnership with @SBitC_CCFC.

I was honoured to be invited to Gosford Park Primary School to cut the ribbon on their new library today! An amazing new learning space which puts reading at the heart of the school!

It’s World Book Day! A great assembly at St Thomas More School this morning with a hall full of fun and creative outfits - from Wonka to Minions and Wimpy Kid to Dogman!

Another year of being judges of the @CoventryBS Young Writer of Year done! My fifth, Oscar’s fourth! We read hundreds and hundreds of stories submitted by our city’s brightest young writers and the ceremony tonight saw the winners crowned! Always a pleasure, never a chore!

A fun World Book Day talk at Spon Gate Primary School. Was really cool to see how their temporary school has come together whilst the main school is being redeveloped! A pre-built classroom dropped in from the sky by a crane!!

A fantastic way to start what has become the busiest week of the year for me; World Book Day week! After Saturday’s game, I’ve almost totally lost my voice so I was thankful to have a microphone!! Another eight school talks plus the Young Writer of the Year competition ahead!

Take a look inside our new book The Time Travelling Coventry Hotel where a mysterious run-down hotel is actually the home to Coventry legends from across history. The double page spread of the themed rooms in the hotel is one of my favourite from the book!
