@masonwizard0 @iquilezles i think it simply means Position(x,y,z) p_yzx means new Position(p_y, p_z, p_x) so we have three coordinate equations, the thing in sine is using different axis

@iquilezles is this the solution of a differential equation given those constraints, and iterating the f(...f(p)) inside the norm constraint and plotting them? what does p_xyz mean? is it the gradient? then what is p_zyx? very cool.

@sebify also check with like 1000 renderers. there is a fixed cost and variable cost. maybe 1000 renderers it takes 0.6ms and not 0.5ms*1000=0.5sec. then you have a baseline to compare for your own algorithm

look at my scene, there is just one game object, the mesh of the terrain. Just one. Culling takes 0.5ms

first time using compute shaders, and now I wish I'd gotten into them earlier! they're so nice to work with, especially for things like this, compared to tediously using regular fragment shaders also it can converge way faster, I just slowed it down bc it's pretty to look at c:
