@McJmckenna @Kerry_Official That game had to happen for Donegal to get the bit between their teeth. Kerry haven’t beat Donegal since that final and Donegal will stop them winning back to back titles. Jim lives rent free in all your heads 😉

@SmallerFishGAA McHugh getting burst open is the epitome of play stupid games win stupid prizes. Donegal, like the rest of Ulster, know they aren't good enough to win on football ability alone, so they resort to the thuggery they're known for. Well they got it, and it's well deserved

David Clifford did nothing at the end of the half - total over reaction from Donegal trying to get him sent off McGuinness could be in bother if he pushed Diarmuid O' Connor Whoever burst Ryan McHugh has to be sent off

@wesstreeting @jamesmurray_ldn This has massively backfired for you. You were elected with a very small majority of the votes at the last general election. You had the opportunity to make an impact and really improve your reputation as health minister but you chose playground politics instead. You’re done!

@uuponline Your party is so irrelevant that an unelected, career peeler is now leading it. The talent pool is so pathetic that this is the best you could come up with. Really?

@AlexKane221b Alex, it’s inevitable. Granted, perhaps not in your lifetime, as with respect you’re in your closing chapter. However, the tide has turned and a Reform government will only accelerate the inevitable.

You can juggle the figures anyway you like, but they still don’t add up to the tipping point required for either Welsh or Scottish independence. And nor is that shift evident in NI.

The answer to the challenges we face is not separation, division or endless constitutional wrangling. It is cooperation, hard work and making the United Kingdom work for all our people. We are better, safer & more prosperous together.

For the first time ever, there could be three nationalist, pro-Independence First Ministers across these islands. Historic change is happening. The demand for independence is growing.

@StephenNolan After watching ‘Peelers’, who honestly in their right mind would want to join that organisation. The money is terrible and the working conditions are atrocious. What capable, aspiring young person would want to join that. Save that job for the idiots who have no other options.

The audience reaction to Peelers has been something I have never experienced before in 30 years of journalism . Firstly, thank you . Secondly , this is an example of a proudly local show featuring local people connecting massively with a local audience .

@tntsports Alan McManus is a total idiot. He thinks of himself as the self appointed spokesperson of snooker when in reality he talks a better game than he played himself. Can’t watch TNT whenever that fool is on.

@WeAreWST Unbelievable performance from Hossein tonight. Yet another final frame decider defeat for Judd, that’s only 10% of final frame deciders he’s won this season. Very worrying for him but taking nothing away from Vafaei tonight 💪

I have left the SDLP with immediate effect. My focus will remain on the ground in my community, representing the people of West Belfast. For clarity, I was not at the hastily arranged Belfast City Council meeting this week - contrary to some posts directed at me. I was dealing with an emerging issue in the community and therefore did not have the opportunity to vote against the DUP motion - which I would have done. Anyone suggesting otherwise is simply trying to score cheap political points. As someone from West Belfast, I know the Bobby Sands statue in Twinbrook holds real significance for people in our community and beyond. People should be entitled to remember him in this way, and I fully support that. Shame on the DUP and others for turning this into a political stunt. My focus remains, as always - on the people of my community. If anyone would like to engage further on this directly, you know where I am.

I have commented many times on their posts, pointing out hypocrisy and double standards but they never engage with anyone who disagrees with them. They like the comfort of their echo chamber!

@eoinneylon Eoin, do you have a short memory? The government were boasting of a budget surplus not too long ago. However, a complete overview is expenditure is required. For example, many NGO’s do good work but many are a complete waste of taxpayers money.

One thing I've not heard anyone answer is, beyond the €250mn reduction in fuel taxes already in effect (costing the exchequer €4mn a day) where the shortfall should be made up from if we are to cut taxes substantially further? Spending on schools, hospitals, road maintenance?
