@whfbomb22 @WGTD_Tracer What I’m saying is that it’s easy to make the quality argument for Yeti. It’s much more difficult to make the same one for Rolex.

That’s actually kind of my point. Rolex isn’t the most cost-effective watch. Yeti isn’t the most cost-effective cooler. Turtlebox isn’t the most cost-effective speaker. Yet all three built brands around quality, reliability, warranty, and customer experience. Once you’ve reached “good enough,” people pay for more than raw specs.

Anyone know if Turtleboxs are worth the money? Or is like yeti coolers and it’s only a “status” symbol

@whfbomb22 @WGTD_Tracer I see your point, but Rolex is maybe the worst possible example you could have used. Yes Rolexes are nice, but they are 100% a status symbol. You could get the same build quality for significantly less, or better for the same price. You’re paying for the crown on the dial.

Calling Yeti a “status symbol” is like calling a Rolex a clock. Sure, technically. But people don’t buy them because the alternatives don’t work—they buy them because they’re built better. Anyway, Turtlebox is awesome. The tide came in, mine floated off like it was headed for a new life, and was still blasting beach music when I tracked it down. Hard to call that a status symbol.

Found this old 48 star flag way up in the attic when we bought our 200 year old farmhouse. I put it up on the porch that first Memorial Day weekend and it’s been our tradition ever since. Faded, worn, and perfect to me. Would love to see your favorite American flag old, new, treasured, or just loved. 🇺🇸

When I was pregnant at 15, my doctors told me my child was going to have Down syndrome, I cried for days. My heart broke. But because of my beliefs, abortion didnt cross my mind, nor did I budge when the medical professionals nearly begged me to have one, bc “my youth would be ruined.” And I give zero shits what you think about me posting about this.
