“For what force on earth is weaker than the feeble strength of one?” — Solidarity Forever If you truly want to protect others, you cannot do it alone. Without the power of capital on our side, it is only through collective action that we can challenge the existing, and often evil, power structures. Living within the system we do our government loses all pretence to holding the moral high ground. Justice comes only when there is strong public outcry, and only if the offenders themselves aren't part of the ruling cliques. Where there is no true justice there can be no peace.

Why does this link to paradox forums lmfao. There's a lot wrong there but a chief part is the fact that French conflict with Germany was assured, they couldn't strategically sit back and let Germany annex more land and gain strength without doing something. Germany had to stay in a war economy and keep expanding or they would collapse. France allied with Britain>war in Europe inevitable. Any conflict with Japan or Germany would bring in the other, you couldn't have one without the other so acting like Britain could only go to war with Germany or only go to war with Japan at the time is stupid (or any conflict would shortly follow them joining together). Their interests were too fundamentally aligned (mutual enemies in the French/British/Dutch etc). It would have been strategically stupid for either Germany or Japan to sit back while the other got dog piled by the Allies. Yes, British involvement in Europe and Africa left Australia vulnerable, but that didn't mean that conflict with both Germany and Japan wasn't inevitable for Australia. But moving our troops to north Africa and decimating our navy (Washington and London naval treaty) was so bloody stupid.

Israel has destroyed the World War II Australian section of a cemetery in Gaza, where Australian soldiers who died fighting the Nazis, the very regime that persecuted Jews, are buried. The level of disrespect shown by this act is staggering. #auspol

@EylonALevy God why are you flailing around like a spoiled child throwing a tantrum. Admit to the crimes the State of Israel has committed and been condemned for by the ICC and the UN. There would be more dignity in that.

@Eureka_Coll @nic0polito "British financial holdings in the Middle East were more profitable and strategically necessary for their oligarchs than Australia. It wasn’t about the Anglo people it was about profit." If you believe that then why do you think Australian soldiers should have been involved?

The Nazis were trying to take over Europe at the time and they succeeded at least for a little bit. The British had to fight Germany because they were allied with France, Germany was demanding more and more territory in Europe which threw off the balance of power on the continent. Britains main strategy was always to keep the continent divided over the previous 200 years. Germanys Fascist system demanded constant war, war with Britain or an attack on their standing doctrine was inevitable and the British knew that. Britain prioritised the Mediterranean theatre because British financial holdings in the Middle East were more profitable and strategically necessary for their oligarchs than Australia. It wasn’t about the Anglo people it was about profit. Italy was also the ally of Germany and arguably had more beef with the British because of their holdings in the Mediterranean in light of their new goal of ‘restoring’ Rome.

@Eureka_Coll @nic0polito The British focus on a war with Germany made them unable to defend their colonial holdings in Asia (Fall of Singapore) Churchill wanted to keep Australian divisions in NA/Med after Japan entered the War. And how exactly were the Nazis "collapsing Europe"??

@CalveRapeGroyp @nic0polito Do you think fighting Japan at the time wasn't in Australias best interest? The Nazis collapsing Europe would have led to Australia's domination by either Germany or Japan. How are you this dumb?

@Eureka_Coll @nic0polito "the justice of fighting genocidal fascism itself." Moralistic libtard mush "but actions can still be necessary" Australian involvement in the European Theatre was necessary for what exactly? "many Aussies who to enter because they knew Nazi Germany wuz ebil" name 1?

When we analyse Australia's economic situation we realise that much of what we consider to be Australian, isn't. Most of Australia's top companies are largely owned by US finance firms. The less influence a country has over its own financial institutions, the more controlled it is.

Herzog just politicised his visit… Saying the visit is also to explain the need for Israel to fight Hamas in Gaza. 👉 As predicted, Herzog is politicising the grief over the Bondi attack, to support Israel’s genoclde of Palestinians. Herzog: “He said he hoped his four-day trip would help Australians better understand Israel’s perspective on its fight against the hardline Islamic regime in Iran and terror groups it sponsors, such as Hamas and Hezbollah.. “I think it’s about time that the good relations between Israel and Australia will flourish and not be taken hostage by radical forces in Australia who have been undermining these relations.” smh.com.au/politics/feder…

There’s no contradiction here. Fighting fascism where it exists is always justified, dying pointlessly for an empire half a world away is not. You’d have to be wilfully blind to miss the difference. The fact that some of the motivations for entering World War II were about preserving empire does not invalidate the justice of fighting genocidal fascism itself. Motives can be corrupt, but actions can still be necessary. But in reality there were many Aussies who wanted to enter WW2 because they knew Nazi Germany was evil.

@Eureka_Coll @nic0polito I love your guys cognitive dissonance where you will try and invoke Australian involvement in MENA during WWII as an ideological crusade against Nazism when they were there for the same reason they were sent to Gallipoli to protect the British Imperial system which you despise.

@FetchStep It's Anthony Albanese who has caused the outrage by inviting a war criminal to our country, it's him who's to blame for things "being dialled up to 11". Are we not a civilised country, why are we letting barbarous monsters who have killed children and signed bombs in.

Noam Chomsky taught an entire generation that socialism is an extension of liberalism; that leftism is about maximizing the 'personal liberty' of the individual. Now we see who benefited from this agenda. The natural longing for collective existence, militancy, discipline, meaningful struggle - was all deliberately conceded to the 4chan Right. Who Chomsky's same masters created! Meanwhile the 'left' became a clownshow of repulsive, hedonistic freaks preaching an antisocial ideology of the infinite freedom and modularity of the individual! This is exactly why denizens of midwits and shills have called me and my movement fascist for years: They are disciples of Chomsky. Chomsky lied. The history of the Left is not a struggle of 'individual liberty' versus the collective realities of restraint, hierarchy, and culture. What has been forgotten by the US Left is the dimension of NECESSITY. Struggle not to be 'more free' to make random choices - but struggle according to the NECESSITY of concrete reality itself - class, history, national liberation, etc. The revolutionary cause is a cause to bring HISTORICAL NECESSITY to fruition, the triumph of truth over falsehood, the triumph of one class over another. Not to 'free' the 'individual' from their embedded social context. The Left-Wing struggles were always the struggle to FULFILL necessity, fate, and something that was - in some sense - ALREADY reality, but lied about. The dimension of necessity, truth/falsehood, ontology - was all thrown away thanks to Chomsly. As much as I reject his overall philosophy, Louis Althusser - and his rejection of the methodological individual- is a perfect antidote to the disease of Chomskyism. It's also why the CIA explicitly targeted him. The US Left should now prioritize unlearning Noam Chomsky and 'democratic socialism.' It's over, and the gig is now up.

Australia today imposed further sanctions on Iran in response to the regime’s horrific use of violence against its own people. The 20 individuals and 3 entities sanctioned include senior officials and entities of the IRGC involved in the oppression of the Iranian people.
