@angeloinchina I commented on @BrianJBerletic that he should consider extending his coverage by examining what are the chances this strategy will succeed and which factors are most likely to affect the outcome! After the diagnosis follow what…?☺️

Iran will block enemy shipments while > USA will block China shipments > USA is energy self-sufficient, shortages will affect the rest of the World. WW3 is beginning on choke points > - Panama Canal - Suez Canal - Strait of Hormuz - Malacca Strait - Northern Route (via Greenland) And on the control of energy > - Persian Gulf - Venezuela - Russian energy. So no coincidence recent wars and frictions > Panama, Ukraine war, Venezuela oil take over, agression on Iran, provocations on Greenland. Many focus too mulch on Israel, the bigger picture is CHINA.
Brian Berletic@BrianJBerletic

Trump Threatens Blockade on Iran (and on China) As I warned repeatedly - the US not only doesn't care about the Strait of Hormuz closing - it wants it to close - it just wants it closed on ITS OWN TERMS. WSJ (image 1) says: “If Iran refuses to accept the final deal the United States offered Saturday, Trump could bomb Tehran back to the ‘Stone Ages’ as he vowed,” says the article by journalist John Solomon, which Trump posted shortly after midnight Eastern time. “Or he might just reprise his successful blockade strategy to choke an already teetering Iranian economy and ratchet up diplomatic pressure on China and India by cutting them off [from] one of their key sources of oil.” This is why the USMC MEUs were sent and this is what the US is openly saying it will do next. If you understand continuity of agenda (image 3) and the bigger picture (image 4) of what the US is doing and that the ultimate goal is China - this was always obvious.

🇺🇸/IRAN - US Announces Own Blockade on Hormuz As I warned a month ago, the US now announces its own blockade on the Strait of Hormuz to prevent any traffic at all from passing - especially ships allowed through by Iran to its allies and partners. The entire purpose of this war was and is to destroy the multipolar world in a controlled economic demolition, targeting energy badly needed by the multipolar world from the Middle East and others (Russia/Venezuela which the US has either already captured or is targeting through war). This will hurt the US. The US thinks it will hurt multipolarism more and that the US will emerge stronger relative to the multipolar world on the other end of this policy. Only time will tell for certain. I warned once the US Marine Expeditionary Units (MEUs) arrived (the USS Boxer is still en route) the most likely purpose was maritime interdiction - what the US Marines were reorganized to do under the previous Biden administration and specifically to impose a blockade on China - and as per continuity of agenda - the Trump administration has picked up right where Biden left off. Instead of doing it closer to China and its navy in Asia-Pacific, the US will impose its "distant blockade" at the Strait of Hormuz.

New video out on the collapsed US-Iran "talks..." - why they were illegitimate to begin with; - Trump's open threat to blockade Iran AND China; - the true goal of the US and why closing Hormuz was not the "leverage" many thought it was over the US; ⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️
Brian Berletic@BrianJBerletic

🇺🇸/IRAN/🇨🇳NEW VIDEO: US-Iran Talks Collapse: US Floats Iran-China Blockade as US Prepares for Further War on Iran On YouTube: youtu.be/JsELCv_hc3k?si… ▪️US "negotiations" with Iran failed primarily because US terms were illegal under international law and simply coercion dressed up as “negotiations;” ▪️US Vice President JD Vance’s role in the failed talks and his public threats against Iran afterward confirm his ardent support for US aggression evident even during 2024 presidential campaigning; ▪️US war with Iran is part of continuity of agenda, driven by US-based corporate interests transcending presidential administrations regardless of rhetoric or supposed political affiliations with the Biden administration carrying out policy without which the current war could not have been launched; ▪️Beyond the Middle East the US is attacking, undermining, and toppling nations producing and shipping oil and gas to China with the ultimate goal of blockading, undermining, containing, and even collapsing China itself; ▪️The Trump administration is even floating the idea of a blockade on Iran meant specifically place pressure on China;

🇺🇸TRUMP REPLIES BY QUOTING HIS POST SAYING: “Iran promised to open the Strait of Hormuz, and they knowingly failed to do so. This caused anxiety, dislocation, and pain to many people and Countries throughout the World. They say they put mines in the water, even though all of their Navy, and most of their “mine droppers,” have been completely blown up. They may have done so, but what ship owner would want to take the chance? There is great dishonor and permanent harm to the reputation of Iran, and what’s left of their “Leaders,” but we are beyond all of that. As they promised, they better begin the process of getting this INTERNATIONAL WATERWAY OPEN AND FAST! Every Law in the book is being violated by them. I have been fully debriefed by Vice President JD Vance, Special Envoy Steve Witkoff, and Jared Kushner, on the meeting that took place in Islamabad through the kind and very competent leadership of Field Marshal Asim Munir, and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, of Pakistan. They are very extraordinary men, and continuously thank me for saving 30 to 50 million lives in what would have been a horrendous War with India. I always appreciate hearing that — The amount of Humanity spoken of is incomprehensible.   The meeting with Iran began early in the morning, and lasted throughout the night — Close to 20 hours. I could go into great detail, and talk about much that has been gotten but, there is only one thing that matters — IRAN IS UNWILLING TO GIVE UP ITS NUCLEAR AMBITIONS! In many ways, the points that were agreed to are better than us continuing our Military Operations to conclusion, but all of those points don’t matter compared to allowing Nuclear Power to be in the hands of such volatile, difficult, unpredictable people. My three Representatives, as all of this time went by, became, not surprisingly, very friendly and respectful of Iran’s Representatives, Mohammad-Bagher Ghalibaf, Abbas Araghchi, and Ali Bagheri, but that doesn’t matter because they were very unyielding as to the single most important issue and, as I have always said, right from the beginning, and many years ago, IRAN WILL NEVER HAVE A NUCLEAR WEAPON!”

🇺🇸BREAKING: U.S President Trump: “So, there you have it, the meeting went well, most points were agreed to, but the only point that really mattered, NUCLEAR, was not. Effective immediately, the United States Navy, the Finest in the World, will begin the process of BLOCKADING any and all Ships trying to enter, or leave, the Strait of Hormuz. At some point, we will reach an “ALL BEING ALLOWED TO GO IN, ALL BEING ALLOWED TO GO OUT” basis, but Iran has not allowed that to happen by merely saying, “There may be a mine out there somewhere,” that nobody knows about but them. THIS IS WORLD EXTORTION, and Leaders of Countries, especially the United States of America, will never be extorted. I have also instructed our Navy to seek and interdict every vessel in International Waters that has paid a toll to Iran. No one who pays an illegal toll will have safe passage on the high seas. We will also begin destroying the mines the Iranians laid in the Straits. Any Iranian who fires at us, or at peaceful vessels, will be BLOWN TO HELL! Iran knows, better than anyone, how to END this situation which has already devastated their Country. Their Navy is gone, their Air Force is gone, their Anti Aircraft and Radar are useless, Khomeini, and most of their “Leaders,” are dead, all because of their Nuclear ambition. The Blockade will begin shortly. Other Countries will be involved with this Blockade. Iran will not be allowed to profit off this Illegal Act of EXTORTION. They want money and, more importantly, they want Nuclear. Additionally and, at an appropriate moment, we are fully “LOCKED AND LOADED,” and our Military will finish up the little that is left of Iran!”

I suspect the real reason for Singapore's opposition to a toll on Hormuz is not some high-minded devotion to international law, but because if it's set as a precedent and a toll were to exist on the Strait of Malacca, it would basically kill their current business model. See, geographically speaking, Malacca runs primarily between Malaysia and Indonesia - Singapore only controls a small stretch at the southeastern exit. Yet currently they capture most of the strait's commercial value through port services, bunkering, and transshipment: it's basically like them having the best "service station" on the world's most popular free highway. What the Hormuz precedent - if established - is all about is the revenge of geography: power given back to the countries that own the road, as opposed to those with the best rest-stop. Fantastic news for Malaysia and Indonesia (which is partly why you're seeing key Malaysian political figures, like Nurul Izzah Anwar, issue a highly unusual rebuke of Singapore over Balakrishnan’s remarks: x.com/amerhadiazmi/s…), but a big threat to a city-state whose entire economy is built on being the best service provider on what's largely someone else's waterway.

USS Frank E. Peterson (DDG 121) and USS Michael Murphy (DDG 112) transited the Strait of Hormuz and operated in the Arabian Gulf as part of a broader mission to ensure the strait is fully clear of sea mines previously laid by Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps.

It is at this point unclear whether the announced departure of the US delegation from Islamabad is a negotiating tactic, or whether it represents the termination of negotiations and potentially a premature end to the two-week ceasefire agreement as well. The reason it is difficult to offer an assessment is because the US negotiators are so out of their depth, and so detached from reality, that it is entirely possible they expected negotiations would be concluded within a single session with Iran unconditionally accepting all of Washington's demands.

This claim by the vice president these talks represented a “last, best chance“ to resolve the war, is it itself a bad sign. That’s not how diplomacy works. It took years to negotiate an end into the Vietnam war, and a year and a half to negotiate armistice to bring the Korean war to an end. To think that you’re gonna have a single diplomatic meeting, that’s gonna solve a war, is unrealistic in the extreme. If this truly was a last offer, then it was no negotiation at all, it was merely an ultimatum with a requirement for surrender. Pretty unlikely Iran will accept such terms, and most likely this just starts a countdown clock for a resumption of the war. Problem for us is, the same reasons we didn’t have military success in the first six weeks all still exist, and we are not likely to have success in the next six weeks either. Meanwhile, Iran will maintain control of HORMUZ, and the price of oil will remain high, and the dearth of fertilizers leaving the Gulf will continue to exert profound pressures on the global economy, especially here in the United States. This is not a good day for America.
