Due to quarantine, there have been many more people staying home and not going out. This is helping the air because fewer people are using their cars and fewer gases are emitted into the air!! @franklinlorax #apesair

Opening up a window on a nice spring day is a very good way to conserve your use of your ac. This helps reduce energy. #apesenergy @franklinlorax

During this coronacation I have been consuming more energy than normal by playing PS4 in my free time. Energy provided by a coal power plant is what runs my TV and console. @franklinlorax #apesenergy

Some species of parrots are going extinct due to deforestation. Many animals lose their habitat and food source because of deforestation, causing a decrease in biodiversity. @franklinlorax #apesland

This picture is an example of a convergent boundary. This happens when two tectonic plates are moving toward each other, causing one plate to slide below the other. The collision of the tectonic plates can result in earthquakes and volcanoes. @franklinlorax #apesland

These rocks have a high porosity and permeability due to how large they are compared to other materials like sand or soil. However, they have a lower water retention compared to those materials so when this snow melts the water will go straight through! #apesland @franklinlorax

I caught many R-related species when I was fishing in Canada. Many Walleyes and Northern Pikes were caught. Walleyes have many offspring, almost 50,000 eggs at once! Many die off in the beginning, but the ones who survive get big! #apesecology @franklinlorax

Humans like me are K-strategists, we utilize all the resources we can so we survive. We are also a type 1 curve, lots of us survive early on life and then we slowly start to decline over time. #apesecology @franklinlorax

This snapping turtle is a r-selective species, meaning that it will have many offspring but only a handful will survive. @franklinlorax #apesecology

The water i use at home goes through a long and important process at the oak creek water treatment center which we visited earlier we this year. The water is treated so that it can be put back into our lakes clean. #apeswater @franklinlorax

In Wisconsin we get tons of snow during the winter which many people enjoy! However, when spring arrives and the snow melts, it can lead to run off and carry many harmful substances into nearby water such as fertilizers, pesticides, and road salts. @franklinlorax #apeswater

In Franklin, we get our water from Lake Michigan. But first, the water is purified by a purification plant in Oak Creek. The water undergoes flocculation, sedimentation, filtration, and chlorination before we can drink it! #apeswater @franklinlorax
