For those asking, yes I’m okay. My ears are having some issues and I was pretty warm earlier but overall okay. Heading back to my car now after a dicey intercept near Brookhaven, MS as a tornado emergency was issued. It was so buried and never got a visual. Grateful for my friends helping out getting me around.

We are safe, thank you to all who have been reaching out. Melissa was by far the scariest hurricane I’ve ever been thru, our front door and one bedroom window came in and we had to shelter in the bathroom. This part of the island is badly damaged but the recovery is already starting, everyone is coming together to help.

@NickKrasz_Wx Got inside of it…. Was indeed a strong tornado. Dropped two that we can confirm, but this was the real deal.

‘Beauty and the beast’ As the #storm that dropped the Higgins #tx #tornado moved off to the southeast, we had to dodge a maze of downed trees and poles in search of pavement. (road was sketchy at best) It left this beautiful #sunset and #rainbow in its wake.

@weatherchannel @accuweather Strong tornado on an un-warned supercell SW of Arnett OK surprises and overtakes storm chasers. Other than a broken windshield and some dents from debris we were all okay. Lots of damage to trees and infrastructure along NS-173 RD

Still no confirmation or received reports from the NWS on this very obviously confirmed tornado on the 17th…. @NWSNorman
