@SS_strength Interesting question. If you fed SS and PP into an AI model (it’s already in there) and posted every video of every set with one of those barbell accelerometers, and fit bit to monitor sleep I bet the coaching is better then 90% of what is out there.

I'm fine with your take if you also do not complain about low-scoring matches and lots of overtime and tiebreaker-decided matches. That's what you're getting with edge wrestling: you're getting an extra defender and making it that much more difficult to score so we get a lot less action and a lot more extended matches. Personally I think this is really bad for the sport but if you don't and you love edge wrestling then good for you.

I’m going to pistol whip the next person that says I love edge wrestling… (looking at you Shane 😉) I truly believe what we THINK we love about edge wrestling is the same feeling when a team almost scores in soccer or almost throws a no hitter. 90% of the time it leaves you on the edge wanting more. When it happens, it’s so rare that you remember it as being the best thing ever. But really, do we want 1 takedown out of 10 finished on the edge? Or do we want to see actual wrestling in the center of the mat? Does anyone come to the ballpark hoping to see a no-hitter? It’s pretty boring baseball. That is, until the anticipation takes over and everyone is going crazy hoping to see it. That’s edge wrestling in a nutshell. Hoping to see a score because deep down, you know it’s unlikely.

@johnnidijulius I think an individual sport is one you can train and compete in alone. One literally cannot wrestle by yourself. You HAVE to have at least one teammate to train. Ergo it’s a team sport.

Overtime ride outs is no different than criteria in freestyle. The match ends tied. Fuck ride outs. Unlimited neutral who scores first. Stallings reset in OT.
