Lent begins tomorrow! For Lent last year, I gave up meat, including fish. That was not wise. I was more or less clueless about nutrition and soon found myself feeling faint and sick. Thanks be to God, I had the wherewithal to look up how much protein I need in a day. I was shocked by how little I was getting, even with protein powders and other supplements. I hired a nutrition coach. We worked together for three months and I managed to lose over 40 pounds—and I completely reversed blood sugar and blood pressure issues that had plagued me for years. Everything is in normal range now. All this to say: Lent doesn’t have to turn into a health crisis to shine a light on what we lack. However, the light will shine on our defects. But through prayer and sacrifice, we will transcend them through grace. I’m grateful for what Our Lord showed me during last year’s Lent, and I’m looking forward to this season of penance and transformation.

Capitalize the name of God every time you write it. Same with the name of Jesus. Also when referring to He or Him, it must always be capitalized
