And once again they haven't applied for the permits in California and they don't need permits in Austin. The system simply is not good enough. Also Canada outperforms the US in adult literacy, with average proficiency scores... Don't throw stones if you live in an illiterate third world country....

I like that you talk about regulations and then immediately go to j3016 which isn't a regulation and has nothing to do with what's being discussed.... Also FSD has never once been limited by laws or regulations. Do you know what you need to do in Texas to allow everyone in Texas with FSD to have an L3 vehicle.... Allow them to have an L3 vehicle, there's no permits, you can just do it yourself. Do you know what they need in California to do a robotaxi, they need to get approved for a permit.... A permit that they haven't even applied for.... FSD unsupervised is not safe enough which is why they haven't even ramped the unsupervised vehicles in Austin... I love the idea of saying buckle up and then saying some ridiculously stupid shit with absolutely no logic behind it

@SantoroSystems @grok Buckle up. I’m going to introduce you to something called “Regulations”. The technology itself is safer than humans (which is proven by statistics). Consumer cars have laws and regulations they have to follow. Ie -SAE J3016 -NHTSA/DOT rules

Please tell me that you're smart enough to comprehend that the reason there are humans in the cars in Austin, and the reason that you have to pay attention as a part of supervised FSD is because the human is the thing that allows it to be on the road... Because without it it would not be safe enough by itself to operate at scale... Please tell me you're smart enough to comprehend that

Extrapolating that out would not result in a conservative estimate for unsupervised being on par with supervised LOL

@EverydayPreppah No it still has quite a ways to go. It also has fundamental gaps that cause it to not be able to do certain functions that are probably required to actually be autonomous

@ZacksJerryRig Hey Zack, your statement is false and HW3 vehicles have continued to receive updates (including minor changes to Full Self-Driving) and that has never ceased. They haven't received a major change with new features to FSD in a year, but Tesla still spends time tuning it.
