Democrat politicians are now stuck defending two very unpopular issues. The defunding of DHS, and the opposition to voter id. I'm not sure how they get out of this hotbox unscathed.
🚨 What improvements would you like to see Tesla make with the next Full Self-Driving version?
For me, it's going to be:
☑️ Better parking
☑️ More assertiveness at intersections
☑️ Better speed reduction when entering slower Speed Limit zones
I drive at level 5 without laser eyes and less than perfect eyesight using my brain to make sensible decisions by analyzing only visual and sound input data.
L5 is an AI problem to be solved,
additional sensors are not required.
Attempting to have an autonomous vehicle operate in conditions a skilled human driver would not drive in is fundamentally an unsafe and impractical goal.
The sensible approach is for autonomous vehicles to understand unsafe conditions and pull over just like a human driver would.
Current autonomous systems already have a much faster reaction time than humans to edge case scenarios such as an animal or child entering its path.
There will always be collisions as the laws of physics dictate outcomes. Entering the path 20ft in front of a vehicle travelling at 30 mph, there is no physical way to prevent that collision.
The goal of autonomous vehicles should be to reduce the death and injury rate by 80% or more, improve transportation economics by 50% or more, lessening the environmental impact and eliminating emissions of pollutants detrimental to human health.
The goals mentioned are extremely disruptive to a significant number of large industries drives the bombardment and amplified negative media of anything to do with EVs and autonomy.
Even things would seem as beneficial to humans such as less injury and death have economic impact. Healthcare, emergency services, towing and collision, insurance even 40,000 less deaths for funeral homes.
These are a drop in the bucket as to what it will disrupt over the next 10 years.
These push back is strong from those wanting to preserve their economic position over better outcomes for humanity and one of the biggest targets is Tesla.
@TPPSkol Could be but I just don't see him having any trade value...and candidly I'd rather keep JJ than get Richardson even if a straight up trade. Will be interesting to see the nutso fans who still "believe" in JJ try to defend him as 3rd string.
@billkatvi@Teslarati Sunlight is an issue when it shines directly into the cameras, it prevents the car from recognizing where other cars are relative to you. Even which lane they are in. I'm long on $TSLA and an owner as well which is how I know all the shortcomings from personal experience.
@EvilNuff@Teslarati wrong, simply wrong. sunlight is not an issue and I live in FL. Driving rain is not an issue and we get real downpours. Do you sell LIDAR or are you merely a TSLA short, trying to add fear?
@StevieC22534754@Teslarati I'm an ass because I don't like my car swerving across double yellow lines into oncoming traffic? Multiple times? WTF are you even talking about you dumbass.
LIDAR provides zero benefits except for very rare and specific edge cases. It’s the equivalent of a blind person poking a cane around to avoid banging into solid objects.
Can’t identify colours, can’t read letters, road markings of signs, can’t identify wet, flooded or slick surfaces, it’s basically useless without cameras.
Its precision measurements provide no added value, human drivers don’t need to know the distance to an object to 1/16 of an inch to avoid it.
If reporters were honest, they would be looking at their own cities and states, and doing what Nick Shirley is doing.
They would find scoops everywhere and get tons of views.
But they don’t do it because they are not really journalists, they are propagandists.
@EvilNuff@DefiyantlyFree The SAVE Act doesn't take effect until after the midterms.
So we can't use not passing it as an excuse to slack off and skip voting. That would be very silly.
The only solution in this country is going to be for all of us to continue to stay involved and to vote in the primaries and to champion for better representatives there is no easy Band-Aid. It’s going to take time and it’s going to require us to stay engaged in the fight.
This is how the hospice fraud works:
- Get a small office in LA
- Collect Medicare beneficiary numbers
- Enroll people into hospice
- Bill the government for millions
Get caught or become suspicious?
Pack up and walk away with millions
END ALL THE FRAUD.
If we don't pass the save act there will be tens of millions of illegal ballots in midterms and we will lose house and senate both. In 2028 the Dims will have 120 million ballots cast for their candidate and with all 3 they will open the borders and flood the country with 100m more illegals who they will give the right to vote. The entire country will turn solid blue like CA after Reagan pardoned the illegals back in the day. This country will end if we don't pass the save act. Period.
@EvilNuff@DefiyantlyFree No, we can still outvote the fraud. We just did it, and we're better off now than we were in the last election.
The SAVE Act is very important, but it's an example of why we have to keep voting to make it possible.
Let’s use the Senate’s rules to make Democrats talk.
When they can’t stand anymore, let’s pass the SAVE America Act.
We’re going to do everything possible to save America.
