@BladeoftheS Even if we assume its true, I've seen calculations based on how much materials are needed, how much reserves exist and how fast they are mined, and how much we need to electrify the world, some materials it would take 200-400 years to mine, others up to 3000-4000 years.

Solar panels work for 40-60 years. Wind Turbines work for 25 years, at which point they only need their blades replacing, 5% of the cost, the actual turbine will last for centuries by which point it will be completely outdated. Fossil fuel defenders only have lies.

It looks like DLSS 5 was an AI-gen filter after all. YouTube Creator “Daniel Owen” asked Nvidia some questions regarding DLSS 5 and if it essentially just takes a single 2D frame with motion vectors as input to generate the output frame. The amount of buzz words Jensen Huang said like; Neural Rendering, Content-Control Generative AI and generative control at the geometry level just to end up admitting that DLSS 5 is what everyone suspected; an AI filter on top of your video-games.

The guy directly corresponds by email with Nvidia employee and the employee literally confirms that it is indeed just running a 2D image through an AI image generator and you see that as your final image. So it works exactly like people meme it does.

Electricity accounts for only 20% of energy used by humanity (don't know for UK specifically) , so if only that is made fully 'renewable' then we would still be far off from making any dent on environmental damage and climate change.
