@bobizgrate You’ve used a low year after a significant high year to cherry pick your data. 2018 did make changes but 50-90% in a decade is not a statistic change of data. You would see that change only in 2018. You’re coping because what I’ve said is true.

@Exbritriate I don't understand what you are saying. I didn't mean the data is inaccurate, I mean comparisons would be inaccurate because of the changed methodology. That is just common sense. The ONS data doesn't support what you are saying unless you cherrypick what you find convenient.

@bobizgrate 🤣 whenever the data doesn’t suit your picture it becomes inaccurate. You’re dishonest. One year won’t reverse a decade of decline. I’d already said I’d give you some leeway on additional reporting but 50-90% increase is madness.

@Exbritriate They changed the methodology of collecting the data in 2018 so it is difficult to go further back accurately, but nonetheless, it is entirely incorrect to say that the 2025 figures look like part of a rising trend. We will find out next year whether 2025 was the outlier.

@bobizgrate Look further back. There is clearly a huge increase and 2024 was terrible. They’ve done more last year but it doesn’t reverse the trend.

@Exbritriate Not according to the ONS data I linked earlier? The bottom row is total violent or sexual offences involving a knife in the UK, including homicide? The latest number is lower than any year except COVID

Girl-dad here, my daughters are in their early 20s now. To all the guys out there who society told being a responsible father was a fate worse than death, and who are now getting a glimpse through Pragmata of what fatherhood might be like: You were lied to hard, sorry bro, being a father is the most amazing thing on earth. But it's not too late, go find a good woman, marry her, raise a family, provide, be responsible, go all in. Be the protector you were made to be. You've got this, king.
The Bugle Daily@TheBugleDaily1

The fact that a game like Pragmata that has characters that form a father daughter bond is the least bit controversial tells me society is fucked up beyond repair. If you are offended by this game, you are a miserable human being.

@Emr678 Most US states require public schools to display an American flag in classrooms or on school grounds. California even requires the Pledge of Allegiance.

@bobizgrate No, the UK as a whole has seen a 50-90% increase in knife crime.

@Exbritriate Ah so you are focusing on London, because that suits the point you are trying to make. I suppose we will have to come back to this next year.

@bobizgrate I'd be inclined to agree some of the 50-90% increase across the UK is better reporting in robbery and thefts as well as threats with no physicality. The idea that we had to adapt and roll out military grade trauma kits and practices is a reality though.

@Exbritriate My favourite theory is that because of the crackdown in knives, more knives will be found and therefore possession charges would go up and then reduce as people stop carrying them. We will see if that is what ianhapkenjng.

@Exbritriate Oh you are just looking at London? I was talking about UK. I think a 17% drop in London is still significant, given the X narrative that we are all getting stabbed twice a week.

@adiosmuchachos4 3. Yes they do, it’s publicised regularly, the approach to knife violence and other high blood loss events have bought in new protocols to save lives. Already there in my response.

@Exbritriate Three problems: (1) knife crime fell 10% in 2025, homicides fell 21% — lowest since 2010/11 per ONS. (2) “65%” isn’t an ONS figure, and ONS says most of the decade rise is recording changes. (3) ONS and NHS don’t actually attribute falling deaths to paramedic equipment — you do.
