ICE detain father & convalescent minor son—driving home from hospital.
Teenage boy has difficulty walking—after just undergoing surgery.
Father had just picked him up from rehab session.
He is not receiving the medical care he needs in ICE detention—has months of rehab left to go to fully recover.
Yohana Durand said both her husband & son were taken to Texas within 48 hours—over 1,000 miles away from their home in Georgia.
The family immigrated together from Venezuela 5 years ago—and had an ongoing asylum case in progress.

Our nation’s minimum wage has not been increased since 2009—remaining stagnant at $7.25. In the years since, the cost of living has risen dramatically—from housing and groceries to gas, childcare, and higher education. A minimum wage that hasn’t kept pace with today’s economy leaves too many hardworking Americans struggling to make ends meet. I support a $15 per hour federal minimum wage and think it’s long past time that our country adopts this.

The country is now down to 600 judges for 4 MILLION CASES

Of note .. Trump 1.0 left 1.3 MILLION **unprocessed amnesty cases on Biden’s desk.. with the added immigrants , this means Just to HEAR YOUR case could take 4.5 yrs bc of that backlog
Reminder .. the bipartisan Langford bill called the most sweeping immigration legis in 30 YEARS was put on hold before the election by Trump “so he could run on it”.. In case people don't know history, the "New Deal" was FDR saving imperialism. At a time when left was relatively stronger in the US & with the existence & example of progress by the USSR, FDR offered the "New Deal" to quell the masses & not risk losing everything.
