I don't think you know very much about firearms. A lot of guns don't even have a safety in the way you're thinking. Glocks for example only have a trigger safety. I would almost bet money that they were carrying a Sig P320 which are known for un-commanded discharges. That is the same model of gun that Alex Pretti was carrying that seems to have gone off on it's own when the ICE guy took it off of him. Otherwise it would be incompetence because why are they handling their gun in an airport?
