One of these two just replaced me on the board at VMI…

Last year, Governor @GlennYoungkin appointed me to the Board of Visitors at Virginia Military Institute. Unfortunately, @vademocrats voted to deny my appointment in what the Governor describes below as a, "shameful episode." I was never given a hearing. I was never asked a question. I was never provided a reason for my denial. As far as I know, my appointment was never fully reviewed. The Privileges and Elections Committee rejected my appointment for partisan politics. When pressed, Majority Leader, @ssurovell, cited "genuine concerns about the qualifications, backgrounds, and intentions," of Youngkin appointees at VMI and other universities. Mr. Surovell is not a veteran. He has never deployed. He has never prepared young men and women for service to the nation. I've dedicated my life to serving this country and helping the next generation of leaders succeed. I would like to know what part of my background Mr. Surovell finds, "concerning." I'm sure I'll never hear from him. I am, however, grateful for the work of Governor Youngkin and his team these last four years. Much of that work is now being undone by a new, radical administration. Virginia, and her universities, will be worse off.

From Beyond the Call, @RepBrianMast sat down with VOD Board Member @Exner_Garrett to share what the significance of Memorial Day means to him. “Memorial Day. That’s how people live on forever, is that you don’t forget them. You remember what they did, on behalf of what they did it for, why they did it, where they did it. You remember those things. That's how they live on.” Watch the full episode here: youtube.com/watch?v=Xo3YCV…

Remembering Corporal Jason Dunham. 🇺🇸 Born in Scio, NY, Cpl. Jason Dunham grew up with a strong sense of duty and enlisted in the United States Marine Corps shortly after high school. He quickly earned the respect of his fellow Marines through his leadership, discipline, and willingness to put others before himself. Cpl. Dunham deployed to Iraq during Operation Iraqi Freedom with the 3rd Battalion, 7th Marines. In April 2004, his unit was conducting patrol operations near the Syrian border during a period of intense violence. While confronting an insurgent during a vehicle checkpoint operation, Dunham saw the attacker release a grenade near fellow Marines. Without hesitation, he covered it with his body to shield his team from the blast. Though mortally wounded, his actions saved the lives of multiple Marines nearby. Cpl. Jason Dunham’s courage represents the selfless spirit that has defined generations of Americans who answered the call to serve. We remember Corporal Jason Dunham and honor the sacrifice he made for his country and his fellow Marines. America owes him a debt that can never fully be repaid. 🇺🇸

Our best moment of the Indy 500 yesterday was when nearly 400,000 Americans at the world’s largest single-day sporting event went completely silent for the playing of Taps. Our country never takes for granted the profound sacrifices that have been made in the defense of freedom. #MemorialDay

We remember, Staff Sergeant Darin Taylor Hoover 🇺🇸 Sergeant Johanny Rosario Pichardo 🇺🇸 Sergeant Nicole L. Gee 🇺🇸 Corporal Hunter Lopez 🇺🇸 Corporal Daegan William-Tyeler Page 🇺🇸 Corporal Humberto Ardito Sanchez 🇺🇸 Corporal Jared M. Schmitz 🇺🇸 Corporal Dylan R. Merola 🇺🇸 Corporal Kareem M. Nikoui 🇺🇸 Lance Corporal David Lee Espinoza 🇺🇸 Lance Corporal Rylee J. McCollum 🇺🇸 Lance Corporal Dylan H. Chasse 🇺🇸 Hospitalman Maxton W. Soviak 🇺🇸 These servicemembers came from different backgrounds, hometowns, and walks of life, but they were united by a shared calling to serve something greater than themselves. They represented the very best of America, answering the call to duty during one of the most difficult and dangerous chapters of the Global War on Terror. At Abbey Gate outside Hamid Karzai International Airport in Kabul, Afghanistan, on August 26, 2021, they stood watch under constant threat, helping evacuate thousands to safety amid the collapse of Afghanistan. Surrounded by chaos, uncertainty, and danger, these men and women remained at their posts, carrying out their mission with courage and resolve until the very end. Their sacrifice is a solemn reminder that freedom is never free. The security, liberty, and way of life Americans enjoy today have been defended by brave men and women willing to place themselves in harm’s way for their fellow citizens and their country. As we honor their memory, we also reaffirm that the American people deserve full accountability for the failures and decisions that led to the tragedy at Abbey Gate to ensuring such a disaster is never repeated. Veterans on Duty honors those lost at Abbey Gate and will always remember their service and sacrifice in defense of others. May America never forget them. 🇺🇸

.@MattWhitlock on his confidence in Sen. Susan Collins beating Democrat Graham “Nazi tattoo” Platner: “Susan Collins has been one of the most reliable senators in history. She has not missed a single vote. She’s a steady hand. Maine loves her. They are not going to throw her out for this degenerate that you can’t even look up his name on Google without seeing the most terrible, obscene headlines you have ever seen in your life.”

Left-wing Maine Senate candidate Graham Platner smeared the late “American Sniper” Chris Kyle in a 2024 podcast interview, suggesting that Kyle shot innocent civilians in Iraq to inflate his kill numbers. Platner also bristled at the fact that Kyle and members of his platoon were described as “heroes,” calling it “a weird practical joke.”

MUST READ: @Exner_Garrett argues the Clarity Act would strengthen America’s digital asset future while closing the gaps our adversaries exploit. “The Clarity Act is not a niche financial regulation bill. It is a national security measure. Congress should treat it accordingly.”

Admiral Cooper is right, this question is disgusting. Moulton is suggesting that service members killed in Iranian strikes, died for nothing. Where was Moulton’s anger after Abbey Gate? Or when Iran killed our soldiers in Jordan in 2024? He was silent

From Minnesota to California, America’s tax dollars have been funneled through left wing nonprofits to the enemies of the nation. If not for a few investigative journalists, we’d still be funding our own destruction.

Saw VA Senate Majority Ldr Surovell who kicked Gov. Youngkin’s appointees off the VMI board including @Exner_Garrett alleging he wasn’t “qualified.” I wanted to ask him about it but he was wearing a disheveled suit, eating peanuts alone at 5 Guys at 10pm, and figured karma beat me to it.

May 15, 1864. The Shenandoah Valley. A Union army marched south to burn the breadbasket of the Confederacy. Standing in its way: John C. Breckinridge, former Vice President of the United States, the man who had run against Lincoln in 1860, with 4,500 men he didn't have. Among them, 257 cadets from the Virginia Military Institute. The youngest was 15. They had marched 80 miles in four days to reach the field, sleeping in the rain, eating nothing but hardtack. Breckinridge ordered them held in reserve. "I will not put those children in," he said. By afternoon, his center was buckling. He turned to his aide, eyes wet. "Put the boys in, and may God forgive me for the order." They advanced through a rain-soaked wheat field. The Virginia mud was so deep it sucked the shoes from their feet. The locals would call it the Field of Lost Shoes forever after. They didn't run. They didn't break. They charged a Union battery in the open, and took it. One cadet swung the captured gun around and fired it back at the retreating Federals. 10 boys died. 47 fell wounded. The youngest killed was 17. 162 years later this morning, VMI will call their names. A bugler will play. The Corps will stand silent in formation. They have done this every May 15 without missing a year.

Steven Descano allowed Hyrum Baquedano-Rodriguez, an illegal alien, to continually terrorize Fairfax County despite an extensive rap sheet with charges AND convictions like:
- abduction with intent to defile (a FOUR-YEAR OLD CHILD) - burglary
 - indecent liberties with a child - entering a house to murder or rape
 - exposing himself to a child and indecent exposure
 - disorderly conduct

While on probation, Hyrum Baquedano-Rodriguez broke into a home at 4 AM, seized a FOUR-year old girl from her bed and tried to rape her before being chased away by the girl’s mother. After a judge rejected a plea offer due to inexplicable leniency, Descano dismissed the case. Shameful.

Brett Kavanaugh, a man in his 50s, had been valedictorian of his high school, at Yale College and a star student at Yale Law, had clerked for the Supreme Court, had a top career as an appellate lawyer and federal judge and a pristine reputation, and then a random woman from the town he grew up in claimed he had groped her at a party 35 years earlier when they were in high school. Kavanaugh didn’t try to argue that the incident was consensual. He didn’t claim he remembered things differently than she did. He immediately stated that he had never even met the accuser. Denying ever meeting the accuser is a much stronger claim than merely denying assaulting her, and much easier to refute. After Kavanaugh made this denial, Christine Blasey-Ford no longer had to prove he had sexually assaulted her to scuttle his nomination, she only had to prove that the two of them had attended a party together at which such an assault might have occurred. She was unable to do so. She did not know whose house the alleged assault occurred at. None of the people she claimed attended the party corroborated any aspect of her account. Leland Keyser, a friend of Blasey-Ford’s, who the accuser claimed was at the alleged party, said she recalled no such event and had never met Kavanaugh. Kavanaugh produced a detailed calendar he had kept during the summer Blasey-Ford alleged she was assaulted, which included his whereabouts of every weekend night and listing who he was with. Kavanaugh argued that he could alibi himself and provide witnesses for any night Blasey-Ford claimed she might have been at a party with him. Blasey-Ford responded that she did not know the date of her assault and was not entirely certain it even occurred that year. Instead of being seen as persuasive, Kavanaugh’s calendar was mocked in both mainstream and social media because the reason he kept it was for a drinking contest he was having with his friends. Nearly a decade later, there is still not a single shred of proof or a single witness who will corroborate the claim that Brett Kavanaugh and Christine Blasey-Ford were ever in the same room before she testified at his confirmation hearing. Nonetheless, people like Nick Kristof still claim Kavanaugh was “credibly accused” of sexually assaulting this woman.
