@Everett24111608 @abierkhatib Hindu nationalists didn't care about whether they were being colonised by Portuguese Catholics or British Protestants.
To someone from the outside looking in, they're all just "Christians". Any internal divisions, however fierce, are petty and trivial.
What's your point?
English

@ExpedientR83285 @abierkhatib But according to all the anti-socialists, Communists, Marxists, and Socialists are all the same thing. So by that logic, you can't hate Marxists and be a socialist.
English

@_Credible_Hulk In Marxist theory, the idea is that capitalism industrialises agriculture, and then socialism nationalises agriculture.
Socialist revolutions resulted in mass starvation because they tried to do both at the same time.
English

@TheFluffyQueer @gbaiocchi27 @BulwarkOnline How many times has that been attempted in history, and how many of those attempts were successful?
English

@gbaiocchi27 @BulwarkOnline Communism is a classless stateless society where the means of production and resources are democraticly managed by the populace. Socialism is the mechinism by which communism is achieved where the workers have control over the state and economy.
English

@Juan123445_Pr1v This is very clearly directed at DSA supporters who say "we support socialism, not communism".
Why you think it's directed at Marxist-Leninists like you who openly support communism, I've no idea.
English

@JanSchwede @abierkhatib Read the next few words buddy. You can do it.
English

@ghuff @JanSchwede Socialism is much older than Marxism. Marx even called his movement "communism" specifically to distinguish it from socialism.
English

@JanSchwede “Thats just one form of socialism”
Oh really? What’s the other form of socialism that’s non-Marxist?
English

@sethharpesq This just shows how shallow and performative AI hate is.
They still don’t have anything in their arsenal but the "AI can’t do hands" thing, even though it’s already years out of date.
English

Spending trillions to build out AI data centers proves that the American ruling class had the resources and ability to convert the grid to renewables and maybe save the planet but instead deliberately chose to cook us all and die for no reason but to produce demonic digital slop.

@AVERDADEIRANya @AmadeusBolshev The point isn't that Europeans are the "good guys", it's that the story can't be simplified into "good guys vs bad guys" at all.
If you steal someone’s wallet and then someone else steals it from you, don't spend the next 200 years whining about how you're the victim.
English

@ExpedientR83285 @AmadeusBolshev like England and France for literally 100 years?

>Leftists: We live on stolen land.
>Also Leftists: Borders are fake.

Leftists: We live on stolen land. Also Leftists: Borders are fake.
English

@ExpedientR83285 @Plz_Relax_ You can find anyone saying anything you’re just looking for a license to continue being a moron
English

Comparing a dumb rightwing grifter like Charlie Kirk dying to a raped and abused teenage girl that was never even involved in politics and was subsequently killed to hide the evidence of their crimes.
Are rightoids even mentally sane?

@cosmonations1 @Lieboisout By "doing socialism" I mean "introducing elements of socialism". Capitalism is still the main engine of the economy.
What are you not getting here?
English

@ExpedientR83285 @Lieboisout Yeah, a capitalist one. So how did capitalism end up having to do socialism? The means of production are still privately owned?
English

Never happened. Not even once. It never occurred that free markets led to problems solved by socialism.
ً@omgsidewalks
Capitalism is so great that it has to be bailed out by socialism every 4 to 7 years
English

@cosmonations1 @Lieboisout No, it is a social democracy.
English

@ExpedientR83285 @Lieboisout Is Norway a socialist state? The means of production are literally privately owned. There are stock markets, private capital, billionaires etc, but would you consider it a socialist state?
English

@colossusreviews @Plz_Relax_ Someone calls out fascism and your immediate reaction is to call them an "idiot" and a "shitposter" rather than standing in solidarity against fascism with them.
What does this say about you?
English

@Atilla_the_Buns @rfieldsster even if it means paying them to dig holes and fill them back up again.
In fact, this is far more logical than capitalism's logic, which generates profit simply for the sake of generating more profit to generate even more profit, ad infinitem.
English

@Atilla_the_Buns @rfieldsster What looks like waste from a capitalist perspective is really just putting people over profits. When you have far more food than could ever be consumed, yet people are still going hungry just because capitalism can't find a use for them, it's better to redistribute wealth to them
English

Capitalism is based of free exchange of labor and goods between consenting people; cooperation. Socialism is based on politicians and bureaucrats imposing the terms of exchange from above. Autocracy.
MC Squared@mcsquared34
English

@Atilla_the_Buns @rfieldsster Compare that to capitalism, which says "if you don't work you don't eat, AND we will do our best to make sure you don't work by investing in machines to replace you and letting reckless speculation crash the economy at least once per decade".
English

@Atilla_the_Buns @rfieldsster This is simply a misunderstanding of the point. The USSR guaranteed employment to all its citizens. Unemployment was practically illegal.
That's what the statement "if a man doesn't work, neither shall he eat" actually means.
English
