The Detroit "Bottle House" in Detroit, Michigan. Organically, it became a shrine of sorts for a family death that happened in the neighborhood. People would leave their old liquor bottles there as a remembrance to someone who passed away. In 2026, I believe it has been removed.

Inside Detroit, Michigan's once glorious and now lost, abandoned and demolished Kettering High School. Demolished in 2024.

Reflections and color within the standing water of the abandoned and long since demolished Detroit Marine Terminal (known also as Bob-Lo Terminal) along the Detroit River in Detroit, Michigan.

Scenes from the abandoned and now demolished Belle Isle Children's Zoo on Belle Isle in Detroit, Michigan. It was demolished this past year and is being redeveloped as of this post.

A lot of people dooming over this post about how third world migration caused this. It didn't, the steel giants couldn't adapt it would be too costly to switch to minimills by the time they could they didn't have enough capital to do so, Reagan refused to help so they died.

The abandoned pedestrian bridge at the former golf course on Belle Isle in Detroit, Michigan. This bridge once allowed golfers to cross an inlet off the Detroit River to reach their next hole. When the course closed in 2008, it became a canvas for graffiti artists.

The sad shell of the Chene-Ferry Market in Detroit, Michigan. Once a bustling indoor-outdoor local neighborhood marketplace, it is now a place of silence and detritus left behind from the entropy of a city in major flux.

Yesterday, I posted the exterior of the abandoned Civic Theater in Detroit, Michigan. Today, per request, a few shots from the shredded inside of what used to be a beautiful theater back in the day. Taken in the winter of 2019 with my old Nikon D300.

The abandoned Frank H. Beard School in Detroit, Michigan, circa autumn 2020. The building was opened 1906, closed in 2016. Sadly, arsonists put it to the torch in 2022 and it was leveled shortly after. A sad end to a strongly-built old Detroit school.
