@VraserX Will this be just before or just after AI is incorporated into everyone's brains? 🤔

The next elite will not just be rich people or smart people. It will be people who know how to command vast amounts of machine intelligence better than everyone else. That is a very different kind of power. Do you think that becomes democratizing or terrifying?

The New Yorker's investigative article argues that Sam Altman’s rise at OpenAI has been powered by extraordinary persuasion, aggressive dealmaking, and repeated allegations of deception from people closest to him, including Ilya Sutskever, Dario Amodei, former board members, and even Microsoft executives. It ties the 2023 firing-and-reinstatement drama to a much bigger story: OpenAI’s shift away from its original safety-first nonprofit ideals toward a high-stakes empire chasing trillion-dollar scale, Gulf funding, military contracts, and political influence.

What ever you're planning, think bigger... Seriously, unshackle your preconceived notions of what you are capable of doing. You're likely limiting your future goals by your past achievements and tools -- but they're no longer valid. You're future abilities are now god-like, and you're potential is unbounded.

More than 70 migrants feared dead after overcrowded wooden boat capsizes off Libya. Up to 120 people were crammed onto the unseaworthy vessel that left Tajoura port and overturned in rough seas. Only 32 survivors — all male, from Pakistan, Bangladesh and Egypt (one a minor) were rescued by merchant ships and taken to Lampedusa. Just two bodies recovered so far, with dozens still missing and presumed drowned. Sea-Watch aircraft spotted desperate men clinging to the hull and bodies floating in the water.

Amazon wants to be back in the game: Jeff Bezos is rapidly scaling his stealth AI venture “Project Prometheus,” hiring Kyle Kosic, a former OpenAI and xAI leader, to build next-gen infrastructure. The company is aggressively recruiting top talent and aiming to develop AI that understands the physical world, targeting industries like aviation and engineering with massive proprietary datasets. With plans to raise tens of billions and build a Berkshire-style AI investment powerhouse, Prometheus shows his shift from chatbots to real-world industrial transformation in finance. Via FT

When will it become illegal for humans to drive?  Think about it like indoor smoking or drunk driving.  Waymo's driverless cars are seeing up to 90% fewer injury crashes vs. humans.

Holy moly: Sam Altman told Axios in a half-hour interview that AI superintelligence is so close, so mind-bending, so disruptive that America needs a new social contract. - It's on the scale of the Progressive Era in the early 1900s, and the New Deal during the Great Depression. - Altman warns: widespread job loss, cyberattacks, social upheaval, machines man can't control - "soon-to-be-released AI models could enable a world-shaking cyberattack this year. "I think that's totally possible," Altman said. "I suspect in the next year, we will see significant threats we have to mitigate from cyber."

The left’s argument for birthright citizenship is obviously insane but it’s even more insane when you consider that they actually don’t believe in your or my “birthright.” We are on stolen land and don’t belong here, according to them. But the anchor baby whose parents got here from Guatemala 10 seconds ago has a “birthright” and is tied to this nation by blood for all time. That’s actually their position. It’s so psychotic that you can’t even argue against it. Like trying to have a political debate with a dog. These people are not rational.

The reason we haven’t been back to the moon has nothing to do with your retarded conspiracy theories. The reason is that NASA destroyed itself with DEI while our country bankrupted itself with an out of control welfare state and mass immigration from the third world. Now we spend billions of dollars every year buying Doritos for fat people and providing health care to African immigrants. It’s really not that hard to connect the dots here. You don’t need to invent any cinematic conspiracy scenario or start babbling about how “space isn’t real” like a schizophrenic crackhead. It’s the welfare state and immigration. That’s the reason why we stopped doing most of the cool shit we used to do. The reason is the welfare state and immigration.

Whoever ends up being the next U.S. Attorney General needs to aggressively go after the infiltration of American media by hostile foreign actors who are seeking to divide Americans and undermine our country. There are undoubtedly mechanisms that are used to get around FARA that need to be shut down. Those who engaged in the schemes should face the harshest legal consequences possible.
