Every other city in the country grows north. That's the framework Rex Glendenning has been using for 40 years to position himself in front of growth. People in Celina laughed at him 30 years ago for buying dirt in the boondocks. He plowed every dollar after taxes and overhead back into 40 and 50-acre tracts anyway.

#OnThisDay May 4 1925: @Ford Motor Company's Twin Cities Plant in St Paul assembles its first car, which the mayors of St Paul and Minneapolis then ride in a ceremony. Designed by architect Albert Kahn, it was known as "the most beautiful industrial plant in the world."
The plant was famous for sustainable reliance on hydroelectric power and on-site silica sand mines underneath, used to produce automotive glass in a specialized integrated glass factory. Tracks of the Milwaukee Road led right into the back of the plant, efficiently shipping materials in and cars out.
