@CorrectBabie Please I want to understand how she's pregnant but there's no baby. Does being pregnant not mean that there's a baby?
English

Imagine trying to conceive for seven years, and finally, you succeed. But then, when you go for a scan, you’re told, “Yes, you are pregnant,” but there’s no baby forming. 😔
This was the case of a couple that came in for a scan this week. They arrived so excited, full of joy, and expecting their new baby after a very long wait. Only to be told that no baby was forming. 😢
This is a case of anembryonic gestation, where the woman is pregnant, but inside the gestational sac, there is no fetal pole, no baby forming. The only solution here is abortion, as no baby will ever develop.
I watched this couple shed tears right in front of me. Their expectations were shattered almost immediately. They came in joyfully, so happy, but left heartbroken. 😞 After seven years of trying, they finally conceived, and now they are being told their baby is not forming.
Oh my God, I felt so bad for them. It was truly heartbreaking. 😔💔

@DaddyTwinzz Jemima. I love the name so much and might just name my girl child

@d_ocheido I think it's also important to know when it's a negative delay and when it's God's having us wait, that way we know how to channel our prayers.
Thank you for your story to point us to God.
English

I don’t know if I’ve shared this before but it’s impressed in my spirit to share again because of how powerful it is
It was when I was in the hospital after having my pre term rupture of membrane and amniotic fluid leak that I understood that not all delay is a curse
At 26 week my membrane ruptured and I was hospitalized
My husband and I held hands and we were literally praying for delay
We were praying that I don’t go into labour prematurely
We are praying that this baby should not come now
We were trusting God for delay
Like “Lord let this baby delay for 3 more months”
Because the NICU nurse said something I can never forget
She said “it’s in your baby’s best interest if he takes his time and form well”
And as we were praying that prayer the Holyspirit was letting me know how important time was in the grand scheme of things
How that sometimes this theology of saying that if things are not happening sharp sharp you’re under a curse or something it wrong
He was letting me know that sometimes God delays things because it’s not yet ripe
Because we cannot yet handle it
Because He’s trying to save us from danger
Because just like a baby in the womb, time is needed for things to properly form
Dear child of God, if you’ve handed over your life to God, trust Him completely.
Trust the one that created time that He can never be too late.
If he’s not giving you that thing now, it means that it is not ripe yet.
Trust the maker of time to make all things beautiful for you in His time
Blessings!

@ileribabalobi @d_ocheido Because most men don't seem to understand women's pain and I guess they don't feel sexual pain too. All they want is their satisfaction and some think women are pretending when they say they feel pains.
English

@d_ocheido "Because you’ll be bruised and sometimes before you heal chairman wants to go again"
Why?
English

Part 1 —-DOING THE DEED
Okay so I think we all have the general idea of this part.
And I’m not going into details to start telling you what to do and all that (that’s for you and your man of God to figure out)
This is more so information about the female body and how you can maximize this experience and not feel like it’s overrated
So the first thing I want you to know is that it will pain you.
Yes. Serious pain. Every body has a different pain threshold and every woman is built differently
But for the average woman, this first invasion of your body will hurt
Like mad.
And it will make you not want to even do it more.
Because you’ll be bruised and sometimes before you heal chairman wants to go again
So prepare yourself
Lubricants can help
But the better thing to do is to engage in lots of foreplay. It will help you relax. And self lubricate. This really helps.
Also, you may have something called “honeymoon” infection
This happens when you and your husband are novices. Because of trying to figure stuff out, bacteria may get into you and this could cause an infection
So don’t be shocked if after a few weeks after wedding you start feeling like it’s burning when you pee
Just go to the clinic and get a prescription for antibiotics
It’s not a spiritual attack . You’re fine
It may also take a couple of days to achieve proper penetration. For some it takes even more than one week.
But the pain you feel should be decreasing the more you try. If after a couple of trials you find that the pain is getting worse, you may have something known as vaginismus( Please read more about this)
So brace yourself for this one too.
So the first week or maybe even couple of weeks after you get married as a woman, sex may not be the most pleasurable for you. Don’t start feeling flustered and wandering if this thing you’ve been waiting for is rubbish.
It gets better I promise. Just communicate with your partner. Remember lots and lots of foreplay.
And as your body adjusts, it will get better
Blessings

Thank you, Pst. Iren. ♥️

@Benking443 I think I have seen you share pads in schools, I suggest you go on a menstrual awareness to the school, and educate both boys and girls about offering a helping hand and being kind to victims in this situation. Sorry for your sister's experience.
English

What my sister experienced at school yesterday truly broke my heart, and I’m deeply disappointed in her school.
She came home moody and in tears, her white sportswear stained with period blood.
When I asked what happened, she told me her period started unexpectedly while she was seated in class.
Instead of empathy, some of her male classmates were laughing and murmuring in jest of her.
What hurt me the most was discovering that the school had no sanitary pad on standby for situations like this, despite how expensive their school fees are and a host of other fees they're forced to pay.
Normally, I buy her extra pads to keep in her locker for emergencies.
However, I found out she often gives those pads out to other girls who find themselves in similar situations. I really commended her for that. That level of kindness made me more proud of her yesterday.
But let’s be clear:
A private school with female students that doesn’t provide sanitary pads for emergencies is failing in its basic duty of care. That should be a punishable offence.
I spent time encouraging her yesterday and helping her regain her confidence.
This morning, I went to the school to lodge a formal complaint. Even the principal was visibly ashamed and could only offer apologies and excuses.
Honestly, schools must do better.

The major reason why many Nigerians NEVER get USD / international remote jobs is because their resumes are only optimized for local hiring.
If your goal is to get an international job in 2026,
Here’s what you’re doing wrong and how to fix it:
1. Location Mistakes
❌ Lagos, Nigeria
If you put your location this way, global recruiters might instantly assume timezone + relocation issues.
✅ Write your location as Remote (GMT + 1) or Remote (UTC + 1)
2. Local Terms that Global Recruiters Don’t Understand
❌ NYSC, HND, BSc (Ed), SIWES, NEPA, LGA, etc.
Most foreign recruiters don’t Google acronyms. They skip.
✅ Translate your acronyms or remove them:
• NYSC → National Service (1-year full-time work placement)
• HND → Higher National Diploma (Technical Degree)
And so on.
3. Duty-based Experience (local style)
❌ Responsible for managing social media
That’s local hiring language.
✅ Use results + metrics:
Grew Twitter account from 3k → 18k followers in 6 months, driving 40% increase in inbound leads.
4. Education Placed Above Experience
Local recruiters care about this, but global recruiters don’t.
✅ Lead with skills & results, not school.
Education goes after experience unless you’re entry-level with no tangible / real experience.
5. No Global Context
❌ Salary in naira
❌ Tools common only in Nigeria
❌ No timezone or async experience mentioned
✅ Highlight:
• Remote collaboration
• International clients
• Tools used globally (Slack, Notion, Jira, GitHub, etc.)
Bottom line:
Global recruiters scan fast.
If they don’t understand your CV in 10 seconds, you’re out.
I’m Chioma Amadi, and I teach you how to restructure your resume for USD-paying remote roles.

@Iam_Lekinx That's not always true. I lost my mum which made me an orphan and immediately my aunt took over. Loved and cared for me like a mother, sent me to school, fought oppositions for my sake and integrated me into her family. Sad I lost her last year😞

@wend_o_lyne I remember sleeping on my mom's body as a teenager. I know if she was alive, I would still do that even as an adult. I miss how the softness of her body made me sleep off.
English

I remember a time when I was in law school and I came back from school knackered! I went to say hello to my parents and got into their bed. Idk how I fell asleep but they didn’t wake me up. I woke up after midnight sandwiched between them
Such a core memory for me 🥹
