As the year turns over, I’m reminded that life is cyclical.

Merry Christmas! HE is the reason for the season. May His love permeate your heart and overflow in your home, workplace, and community.

On this fourth Sunday of Advent, we are reminded that Love has come, entering our broken world to make all things new. God is with us.

On this third Sunday of Advent, we are reminded that Joy is coming. God is nearer than we think and His promises are sure. Even in the waiting, we rejoice because the Light is already breaking through.

On this 2nd Sunday of Advent, we are reminded that real peace isn’t the absence of trouble, but the presence of Jesus. He is the Prince of Peace & brings clarity in chaos, humility in strength, & hope in hard places. May we lead with calm courage, steady faith, & servant hearts.

On this first Sunday of Advent, may we be a candle of God’s light in our homes, workplaces, and communities. May we listen, see, and act for Him. Even the smallest light can break the deepest darkness. Hope starts here.

We don’t have to understand what God is doing to trust Him. When we lean on His grace through Christ, we find strength made perfect in weakness (2 Cor 12:9). Humility is the secret to resilience.

Resilience comes through an abiding relationship with our Creator. In keeping this our greatest priority in life, we will be able to bear under whatever pressures we encounter in life…not according to our strength, but according to His strength in us.

When Jacob wrestled with the Lord, He allowed the struggle to go on for hours for a greater purpose. That purpose was to reveal something about Jacob to Jacob. He went into it one way and came out a different man. Sometimes you have to go through it to grow from it.
