This is the 'coolest' Tesla patent application I've seen in a couple years. The outer layer of the glass roof is solid, the inner layer is perforated, and there's an air gap between the two layers. That means you can pump the HVAC system through the ceiling of the vehicle for even cooling. It also means the ability to dampen sounds and alter resonance by changing the perforation matrix on the inner layer.

Yes, I need to make sure SpaceX stays focused on making life multiplanetary and extending consciousness to the stars, not pandering to someone’s bullshit quarterly earnings bonus! I’ve always opposed EV mandates, rejected the idea that EVs will save the world, and preferred traditional engines for vehicles like the F-150 I used to drive. That said, it’s clear that Teslas are absolutely top-notch products. It’s not hard to see how they’ve developed a dedicated following.

This afternoon, around 4:23 p.m., a vehicle drove through a gate at the international terminal of Daytona Beach International Airport and proceeded onto the airfield. The driver, an adult male who was highly intoxicated, approached an occupied, running airplane and attempted to make entry. He was unable to enter the locked plane. Following that attempt, he approached two other unoccupied airplanes and briefly made entry to them before he was interrupted by airport operations staff and Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University security. The suspect is currently in custody and being interviewed. Multiple charges are pending. The VSO Domestic Security Unit is on scene along with the FBI. DBIA operations are continuing without disruption while the investigation continues.

Is there evidence that creating TSA has made air travel safer over the past 25 years? If not, then why not let the airlines and airports handle it? Why give politicians the power to play games with the travel of our people?
