@bebsunderscore Smurf bans are not determined by a player’s performance. An account is only banned for smurfing when there is evidence that the player is actively using multiple accounts

@FACEITcs Geniune question, how do you differenciate a good premier player switching to faceit from a smurf?

In Season 7, we issued 47,472 smurf bans (+42% vs S6). 76,750 accounts were flagged for selfie rechecks, 29,346 failed and lost access to matchmaking. This week, another 13,000 accounts were flagged for selfie rechecks, with AC now required to link verification to a device.

@starysnaxa The screenshot you attached shows a temporary ban issued on the player’s main account. The smurf account itself is permanently banned.

He started playing on the 08.05.2026, since then (it has been 4 days) he has 50 matches and 2k elo, he admitted that he is gonna play 1 more so he can hit 2k and deactivate that account and either buy/create a new one @FACEIT_Darwin @FACEITcs didnt know this was okay on faceit
