Absolute cinema 🔥 🇺🇸Trump at 6:00 PM — “Strait of Hormuz needs free navigation. Sea must be open like before. Don't worry guys, I’ll make a great deal.” 🇺🇸US Senator at 9:00 PM — "But the Strait of Hormuz was already open and free before the war. So what makes this deal 'great'?" 🤣 People aren't buying Trump's BS anymore.

It’s so ironic that Ambassador Bolton trashes President Trump‘s policies on Iran – some of Bolton’s criticisms are quite valid – but then he himself claims the best policy is to “force the Strait of Hormuz open militarily” oblivious that there is no military path to force it open. I remain shocked at how ignorant so many allegedly elite n intelligent people are that they don’t realize how there is no single target you can destroy that can prevent Iran from maintaining control of the SOH — or we would already have done it in the first 40 days of war. It is hard to fathom just how absurd so many of our elites are today.
John Bolton@AmbJohnBolton

If Trump is no longer interested in Iranian regime change, he has to force the Strait of Hormuz open militarily. The blockade against Iranian oil must stay in place, and we have to re-establish deterrence against Iran and bring stability to the international markets. youtu.be/CdZ_HqMKxwE?si…

🇺🇸🇨🇳 Washington is completely blind to the bigger picture while wasting vital economic and military resources on proxy conflicts. While the American establishment remains bogged down in the Middle East, China is quietly rebuilding an industrial base that is already four times larger. Fmr Army Officer David Pyne states that sleepwalking into global oblivion can only be stopped by fundamentally reordering our national priorities. He believes the U.S. must stop trying to police the world and instead focus on catching up to China’s domestic growth. @AmericaFirstCon
Mario Nawfal@MarioNawfal

🇺🇸 The economic affordability crisis and military overextension are leading to massive political vulnerability at home. If the current blockade drags on past November, a severe electoral backlash could reshape the entire balance of power in Congress. Fmr. U.S. Army officer David Pyne says a major shift in the House and Senate may be the only reality check capable of pushing Trump back toward a positive presidential legacy. He points out that long-term stability requires Washington to finally drop its maximalist demands. @AmericaFirstCon

Donald Trump needs a midterms deal more than a nuclear deal and whatever happens in the next few days should be understood in that context. It’s why he is about to give Iran a ton of money to save face as Trump’s approval ratings are as low as ever, gas is 4.50, and our farmers are begging for fertilizer. And it’s pretty clear that Iran no longer believes Trump when he threatens them. Too many tweets and too much punting. It’s a mess that this President can’t get out of.

Why doesn't Trump just finish the job in Iran? Question being asked everywhere. From a senior administration official: "The president's view right now is that you would need a substantial escalation in order to meaningfully change things that are on the ground." More: "You could always get more through military conduct, the question is whether you could get something that is worth the cost." Right now, it seems obvious Trump has decided no, the benefit is not worth the cost. washingtonexaminer.com/daily-memo/458…

This is the part getting almost no coverage: to rebuild what we burned in Iran, we need critical minerals. Minerals that China controls. The war in Iran costs more than lives and dollars, it’s handing Beijing leverage over our recovery. Full deep-dive at the link in my reply.

President Trump is negotiating with Iran from a position of leverage that no American president has ever held. The U.S. and Israel have shattered the regime’s enrichment capabilities, destroyed key nuclear weapons facilities, decimated its defense industrial base, killed an experienced generation of senior military commanders, intelligence chiefs, and nuclear weapons scientists, and severely degraded its medium-range and intercontinental ballistic missile programs and capabilities that were on a deadly trajectory. The regime’s terror proxy network has been mauled across the region. Its economy is collapsing under the weight of war, sanctions, corruption, and isolation. With that kind of leverage, Trump has a real opportunity to secure a strong deal — one that dismantles Iran’s pathways to the bomb rather than temporarily managing them and constrains the regime’s ability to reconstitute its defense and missile programs. Then he needs to pivot to maximum support for the Iranian people to help them reclaim their country from a failed, bankrupt, brutal regime.

Trump is objectively the worst negotiator I've ever seen. Preannounces deals before they're signed, locks himself into weakness, the other side smells desperation and reneges. Count the Russia/Ukraine "deals" he's announced. Count how many closed. A good chunk of the country bought the "Art of the Deal" myth. Turns out he's teaching the opposite: a masterclass in what not to do. There is no art. Just a guy with the temperament and IQ of a chipmunk negotiating for 330 million people.

The Trump Administration needs to make a decision. Is the Iranian regime a group of insane religious fanatics, or can they be reasoned with? Because the two are incompatible, and this is a core issue in the current negotiations. For many of the people inside the circle of trust for the Trump Administration, the core belief pertaining to Iran is that they will stop at nothing to develop a nuclear weapon to wipe out Israel and the United States. And while that is an extreme view to hold, it is not entirely without merit. The Iranian regime has repeatedly taken steps commensurate with a regime hell-bent on building a nuclear weapon. But WHY are they doing this is the question Washington needs to examine. Is it because they are religious fanatics that want to incite Armageddon, or is it because they are constantly under threat from the United States and Israel? Look at North Korea, and then look at Ukraine. North Korea stopped at nothing to get their hands on a nuclear weapon, and now they are untouchable. Have they ever used it? No. Do I like that they have a nuclear weapon? Also no. Was it the correct decision for the Kim dynasty, but perhaps not the North Korean people, to attain this? Irrefutably yes. Now let’s look at Ukraine. After the fall of the Soviet Union, Ukraine was left with ~1,700 nuclear weapons in their possession. They gave them all away, trusting that the Budapest Memorandum would be adhered to. In 2014 and 2022, it was shown that it was not. So for the current regime in Tehran, in my view, it is fairly logical that they are pursuing nuclear weapons. Perhaps they do not admit to this publicly, but it would be a relatively logical and rational move for them to ensure their grip on power that the West is trying so desperately to unseat them from. But that is the question. Is Iran trying to acquire nuclear weapons because it is the single most powerful deterrent to foreign aggression, or are they pursuing nuclear weapons because they are a fanatical group of religious zealots that will stop at nothing to destroy the world? If it is the latter, and the Trump Administration TRULY believes that Iran is hellbent on wiping out the United States and Israel, then I understand the Fox News talking point of, “any price is worth toppling the regime”. That’s logical. If one truly believes that the regime will stop at nothing to attain nuclear weapons to immediate use to wipe out the United States and Israel… or any country for that matter, why are we even wasting our time negotiating? If one truly believes that Iran is hellbent on wiping out every man, woman, and child in the West, why are we not putting boots on the ground. Why are we not launching a full-scale invasion of Iran, and accepting the very high casualties that come along with it. It’s worth it to save humanity if you believe this, surely. And if this truly is the belief one holds, I understand why they would take this position. We can’t trust the Iranian regime. They’ll cheat on any agreement we make with them because they’re religious fanatics. Or… are they religious fanatics? Every indication that I have seen from Iran throughout this conflict shows a rational actor that is implementing a ruthlessly strategic and methodical approach to the conflict. They have not over-escalated, but only matched the United States’ level of escalation. They lashed out at the Gulf, but did so in a way that was measured and strategically beneficial. They shut down the Strait, but have not slaughtered the civilians on the vessels. When the initial “opening of the Strait” was announced, they held up their end of the bargain until the U.S. failed to lift the blockade. And now at the negotiating table, they once again seem willing to be ruthlessly strategic and methodical. Now, Washington needs to make a decision for these negotiations. Can the regime be reasoned with, or are they purely religious fanatics? Because the two are incompatible.

There is one irrefutable fact that the Trump Administration needs to accept: Iran HAS TO be significantly compensated in order to reopen the Strait of Hormuz... even temporarily. Washington has no viable avenues to achieve victory in Iran. This is clear to everyone. Military strikes failed to achieve any significant strategic objectives, and the Gulf countries clearly fear Iranian retaliation if future US strikes take place. Iran's economy, while experiencing constriction as a result of the US blockade and economic warfare campaign, is not "on the verge of collapse". Their oil wells are not about to "explode". The are not "almost out of storage". Iran holds all the cards right now. They have complete control over the Strait of Hormuz. They have a higher pain threshold economically and politically than the United States and the rest of the world. Their population has rallied around the flag significantly after the United States slaughtered hundreds of schoolchildren in Minab, only further increasing when President Trump threatened to destroy their "entire civilization", and reaching a crescendo when he posted imagery of the borders of Iran overlaid with the American flag. Iran will take whatever economic pain they need to in their war against the "Great and Little Satan". No amount of denial from Trump's inner circle will change this. The military campaign failed. The economic warfare campaign failed. The United States HAS NO LEVERAGE. It doesn't matter if you think the Iranian regime is evil. It doesn't matter if you think they are pursuing nuclear weapons. It doesn't matter what moral or ethical argument you want to make against the United States making concessions to a terrorist regime. This is what happens when you lose... catastrophically. You have to make incredibly unsavory concessions. You will look like a fool. You will be ridiculed. Your legacy will forever be tarnished. But as President of the United States, it is time for Donald J. Trump to do the right thing and end this conflict. It is over. We are boxed in with no pathway to victory. It is time to provide Iran the necessary sanctions relief, unfreeze the necessary assets, and open the Strait of Hormuz while there is still hope of saving the global economy. This reality may suck, but it is the reality nonetheless.

In order for President Trump to ensure Iran will "never" have a nuclear weapon we must 1) Get ALL enriched Uranium 2) Dismantle facilities above and under ground 3) Inspect anytime 4) commitment to NEVER enrich, no clock! Open Hormuz and we have a better deal and a safer world. It's not all we could hope for and we should still support the Iranians and all the people who will suffer due to this Islamic terrorist regimes ideology. We must still fight terrorism and Iran if they choose to continue to be the worlds leading sponsor of terror. Let's give @POTUS a chance to do this diplomatically. Peace through strength works so keeping our military presence in the Middle East while we negotiate is a good idea

I’m going to wait and see what happens before I make a formal opinion, but if Trump signs a ridiculous deal with Iran, it will destroy US credibility around the world, and in the eyes of the Muslim world they would have defeated the greatest power in the west…. This is 100 times worse than the withdrawal from Afghanistan. This will be the worst geopolitical move in the history of our country……..and for the people of Iran. It will be an absolute betrayal….

The only way to deal with the Iranian regime’s closure of the Strait of Hormuz is to force the Strait open. Military force in the Strait is the only way to re-establish deterrence. The regime does not get to turn international waters on and off like a light switch.
