BREAKING Japan says it is beginning the release of its strategic oil reserves after the International Energy Agency indicated that the release would begin in Asia and Oceania before other regions.
Japan depends on the Middle East for 95% of its oil imports

As the world's 4th largest oil supplier, and the largest within the IEA, Canada will support the collective response with 23.6 million Canadian barrels.
