Unfortunately football isn’t overseen by still images that don’t tell you the full story. There’s definitely a case for this to be red, but there were worse tackles this year alone that weren’t even given a yellow. Problem with refs in La Liga is consistency.

That’s a very orange foul, I’ve seen both red cards and yellow cards given for that kind of tackle. The problem is the ref overturning his onfield decision with VAR’s intervention, if it was yellow or red. Difficult situation, I’m just glad we didn’t lose a player.
