Now its statement has been shown to be a pack of lies, the IDF is frantically trying to think up another story. And Sky News is "waiting for it". Do you seriously think the second statement will be any more truthful than the first?

Well said @Tanni_GT. The crossbench peer, who won 11 Paralympic gold medals, told Times Radio: “If you are disabled and terminally ill and your benefits are cut, making life intolerable, it’s obvious more people will feel forced down this route to end their lives early.”

Referring to disabled people who aren't in employment as 'wasted potential' is deeply ableist, dehumanising, and eugenicist, actually.

what really gets me is mahmoud did everything that administrators claim they want from us. he was always unmasked, he was extremely tactful with his words, was a legal permanent resident, was kind & patient even with those who dehumanized him, always stayed rational & calm.

For years, folks have been looking away as millions die or get disabled by Covid. They shout “your health is not my responsibility” or “only the vulnerable” are at risk. This callous disregard for human life has desensitized us. It helps pave the way for the current atrocities.

It’s ALWAYS disabled people first. Every time. And like every time before, everyone else breathed a sigh of relief that it wasn’t anyone *important* they were sacrificing. Until suddenly it was them and their loved ones on the chopping block, and then it’s “how did we get here?”
