In fairness to @virginmedia I got a call back from a lovely lady called Lorna who explained their systems went down, she reinstated my old package and moved it over to my new house all within 5 minutes.

@virginmedia I've tried moving my account to a new address via the chat and the person has upgraded me to a more expensive package without my agreement. I phoned up and was speaking with someone who then cut me off after 35 minutes on the phone. I now can't get through
