@RetroRobson @Kenjataimuu @SkySportsNews Distinctly possible? 😂
He’s funded the club for over 20 years. There was over £400m in loans payable until it was converted to equity last year.
There is no ‘possibility’. He is funding it, as he always has…
English

@FFo7896 @Kenjataimuu @SkySportsNews Bloom is the chairman. I can't find any statement he is paying for it (or not). He is the majority owner of Brighton FC so it's distinctly possible.
English

@RetroRobson @Kenjataimuu @SkySportsNews You don’t know what you’re talking about, hence you think those questions are relevant.
The capex spend in relation to profit is irrelevant, it’s excluded for PSR.
Good business build for future demand, not past. Current attendance is not indicative of future attendance.
English

@1974wastheyear @OfficialBHAFC For example, have you ever seen a women try to use a urinal?
English

@OfficialBHAFC Just seen this on Sky Sports. Apparently the women need different facilities. Why?
English

@RetroRobson @Kenjataimuu @SkySportsNews Quite literally every single statement and question he made is either wrong or irrelevant.
English

@RetroRobson @Kenjataimuu @SkySportsNews What’s reasonable question?
1) Tony Bloom is paying.
2) Brighton have recorded the highest profit in Premier League history.
3) Tony Bloom approved this.
4) Tony Bloom has piles of cash.
It’s quite simple. The owner is a billionaire who wants to invest in Women’s football…

@dum_as_hek @SebJohnsonUK @yoramdw @dealroomco @sabben This is perhaps the most wrong, out of date and useless graphic I have ever seen.
Are you even aware how far the world has moved on since the nonsense you have posted?
English

@SebJohnsonUK @yoramdw @dealroomco @sabben In 2019 Germany and France totaled half as many Unicorns as the UK. In 2026 they have more than the UK, they grew 2x faster than the UK

London is Europe's most dominant tech hub and it's not even close.
And the gap is widening as London becomes an AI hub
Great chart from @yoramdw and the @dealroomco team cc @sabben

@1duffys @suzanna1066 @Swearb0x @stengel You mean the economy that has outperformed all major EU economies since Brexit?
Yes, we have struggled. However that’s a European and policy problem - not Brexit…
English

I've got nothing against King Charles personally—in fact, he seems like a decent and thoughtful man—but why the heck are we inviting the 77-year-old monarch of a medium-sized nation that committed something close to national suicide with Brexit to address a joint session of Congress? "Of more worth is one honest man to society," wrote Thomas Paine, "than all the crowned ruffians that ever lived." We are the nation that threw off a crowned ruffian and ended hereditary privilege to create a republic where the people rule. Happy 250th Birthday America.
English

@SkySportsNews Whose paying for this? They have NEVER turned a profit. This is good money after bad. Is the taxpayer paying for this? Is the mens team? Who approved this? Does Brighton just have piles of cash with no ideas what to do with it?
English

@ColeFusionHQ @Finumus1 That’s not true. In fact the opposite is true.
You’re just looking at the income statement which is distorted by IFRS 16 leases accounting.
Look at the cash flow statement and come back to me…
English

@NewDealHawk2 @yuanyi_z The contempt is the strange out of place rant about Brexit - which is factually incorrect in the first place, and has absolutely no bearing on his life or the U.S.
English

@yuanyi_z I agree that, for better or worse (but definitely worse), things will not return to normal. But I really don’t think that this view of the monarchy would have ever been outside the American mainstream, or necessarily implies contempt for the UK.
English

Some people think that things will return to normal when the Democrats are in power. But this man was in Obama's State Department and he speaks of the UK with the same contempt as the foulest MAGA bro.

@colincwilliams @Adam8Knight @RollingHedge If you hold to redemption where rates go is irrelevant.
Secondly, it’s not a similar return. Your 3.75% is taxed a your marginal rate.
Gilts are extremely tax efficient. 5% low coupon gilt is the equivalent of c. 8% on deposit for a higher rate taxpayer.
English

@Adam8Knight @RollingHedge If you bought this Gilt now you get 0.5% interest till redemption.
If you put the money on deposit at 3.75% for same period, similar end return.
If rates go lower you win holding the Gilt.
If rates go higher you lose.
English

The Bank of England just sold a 2061 gilt at £23.41.
It bought it at £100.
A 67% loss, indemnified by you.
This is the receipt arriving in the post.
From the automation revolution, Britain’s demand-side collapse has already begun, the cognitive middle is the collateral, and the £9.18 trillion of housing wealth on household balance sheets is about to discover what it actually is.
The BoE knows. The Treasury knows. No party will say it out loud.
The coming recession is merely foreplay.

@Mark_CPFC If they did what we have done then I would genuinely top myself 😂 irrelevant weirdos

Brighton fan saying this like his club would ever get to this position…
HurzelersHat🧢@HurzelersHat
This lineup is like one of those shit pre season competitions you would get invited to join on fifa career mode.

@BristbyJohn @jawwwn_ @theallinpod @peterthiel @Jason @friedberg @DavidSacks You can take the man out of South Africa but you can take SA out of the man…
English

@jawwwn_ @theallinpod @peterthiel @Jason @friedberg @DavidSacks Look at how much David Sacks hates Europe and loves Russia. It is a pathology with these people.
