The HOA President had her neighbor’s 15-foot trees cut down while he was out of town… all because she wanted a better view from her house. When he got back and saw what happened, he didn’t argue. He didn’t replant. He went digging through the city zoning rules and found a loophole: the ordinance allowed a sound barrier along the property line, with no rule about what it had to look like. So instead of trees, he lined the edge of his yard with shipping containers. No leaves. No sunlight. No “view.” Just steel walls. Totally legal. Very deliberate. Is this revenge going too far… or is this a homeowner using the rulebook after someone else abused it first? The video may or may not depict actual events; it may or may contain AI
TheRealCherokeeOwl 🦉@CherokeeOwl

He wanted to save money and build his own fence. Measured it, set the posts, did the work himself, and put it right on his property. Now the HOA shows up with a letter saying it has to come down… because it’s not 8 inches off the property line. Eight. Inches. Not because it’s unsafe. Not because it’s ugly. Not because it’s on a neighbor’s land. But because it doesn’t meet a rule in a handbook most people forget exists after closing day. This is where a lot of homeowners get frustrated. You buy the house. You pay the mortgage. You pay the taxes. You maintain the yard. But an HOA can still tell you how far a fence has to sit from a line no one can even see. Should HOAs really have this kind of say over what you do on your own property? The video may or may depict actual events; it may or may not include AI

Yesterday the PGA Tour debuted their Cut Line show. Its a great idea and awesome to see the Tour invest in a fan-focused product. And although it was a rough start, I give some suggestions of what can be done to fix it. mondayq.com/posts/the-cut-…

Driving eight hours today, but before I leave want to ask for a favor: I know almost all of you will watch the Open, watching Scottie in his prime and Rory at home is special. But tonight I ask you to tune into the @CudaChamp. It might be the last one, a tournament that has been on the pga tour Schedule for 27 years. It counts Colin Morikawa, Gary Woodland, Akshay, Gary Woodland and most importantly @GregChalmersPGA amongst its past winners. Ryan Gerard leads, a guy who got his career jump started via a Monday Q. Hayden Springer is in contention, his families story is both tragic and inspiring. Rico Hoey, who has grinded on mini-tours is too. Along with Will Gordon, who kept his card after @Mike_kim714 three putted the last hole a few weeks ago to move Gordon inside the cut line. Max is probably too far back but looking for another good finish after his long struggles of late. So plenty of great stories and for almost all I’ve mentioned above, a win would be life changing. So tune in, it’s an awesome event with some great stories

I def get the Pandora’s box it could open as it pertains to media rights. But I sure wish there was a way to find a way to make this work in this circumstance. The Cuda is on its way to being dropped from the schedule. It doesn’t make a profit. So they find a unique way to get a ton of young eyeballs on an event that gets almost none. Something that potentially could lead to a new title sponsor. And it’s blocked by the Tour. I would hope the Tour could work with Grant and find a way that is beneficial to everyone. (The exemption had been approved by the tour just the media rights denied).
Dan Rapaport@Daniel_Rapaport

Grant Horvat announces he will not accept sponsor’s invite into this week’s Barracuda Championship. Says the Tour wouldn’t allow his guys to film rounds in competition.
