Feel lost? Not sure what your big YES is "supposed" to be? Have you tried saying NO to everything you suspect is not it? When I was lost in my career the void scared me. Busyness distracted from the pain I needed to explore. Turns out emptiness is a vacuum that sucks in clarity.

@tomowenmorgan Been seeing Levin's fingerprints in the way Zach Bush talks about cancer as well.

At the risk of making empirical science too fuzzy, there seems like an intutive link to Dr. Michael Levin's work. The pull towards a platonic form.
Camus@newstart_2024

Dr. Zach Bush reframed the soul in a way that bridges science and mystery: What if your "soul" is the electromagnetic field that reorganizes your entire body every millionth of a second? He explains: You start as one cell that divides like a tumor — until around replication #260, when cells suddenly know exactly what to become (kidney, neuron, etc.) and where to migrate in 3D space. No biological map explains this. The blueprint appears to live in the physics — in the electromagnetic field, the "space between everything." Your body is 99.999% vacuum, yet that vacuum is super-dense with electromagnetic information that keeps manifesting "you" every millionth of a second. You disappear and reappear constantly — and keep coming back as the same coherent self. So perhaps the soul is not something separate that leaves after death… but the organizing field that holds the original blueprint of who you are. Mind-bending or profound? Which part hits hardest — the science of constant re-manifestation, or the idea that "you" are held together by an invisible field?

@RCarhartHarris @TheKenWilber His one (decent) novel, Boomeritis, explores the MGM in depth. He didn't predict all of the details of how hyper-liberal institutions would go off the rails, but he explains the level of consciousness, and internal contradictions, behind it as well as anyone.

@RCarhartHarris This site by Frank Visser used to feature many varied critiques along with positive commentaries of Wilber. It's been years since I've been on there, but it once was the go-to place for informed critical discussion of his work. Might still be worth a visit integralworld.net

@ThomasStck1 @RCarhartHarris Grof is brilliant (reading Way of Psychonaut now), but I think his critique is biased by his views on the perinatal. He misinterprets Wilber's views on things like childhood spiritual experience and seems confused by his distinction btw states and stages.

@RCarhartHarris There's so many problematic aspect of Wilber's work, but I think the spiral dynamics scheme of development is among the most toxic (along with the cultish vibe of his enlightened "2'nd tier" followers). Grof's critique was also good, as I remember it: primal-page.com/grofken.htm

@RCarhartHarris @KoiLucas He spent decades ignoring his body, focused on studying, meditation, and therapy, then someone, maybee Shawn Philips, convinced him to start training his body too. He took to it quite well for a guy suffering from a debilitating mitochondrial disease

@RCarhartHarris I spent 10yrs+ debating his work w/local (NYC) people studying it and a world of people critiquing it. IMO, most who critique it feel their work is threatened by it. He gets surface details wrong, but the underlying structures of consciousness he groks as well as anyone alive.

If artists are effectively channeling something that transcends the self, does something divine come through no matter who performs it? No matter WHAT performs it? youtube.com/playlist?list=… Been enjoying these AI soul coversway more than I am comfortable with 🎺

A great post about manifestation from @FLOW_Coach I'm one of the believers who agree with Devin that the truth about our ability to create/attract things in our lives lies between the polar sides of manifestation. The key point that most people who try to manifest miss is that you have to take action, do the work, and move in the direction of the life you are trying to manifest. The Universe conspires to work with you, not for you. I'm willing to bet you've experienced this, but you may not have realized it. Think about the times you've really wanted to do something, wrote about it in your journal or vision board, visualized having it, and then set out to get it---you probably got whatever it was, or a version of it. You can't just sit in the lotus position, visualizing and hoping for the life you want. But, you also don't have to go through accepting whatever happens to you without the ability to influence the life you get to live. lifestyleintegrity.com/blog/manifesta…

I've been scratching my head for a week after someone asked 'what became obvious for you after taking psychedelics?' I dunno man it seems self evident that the more primitive pre linguistic processes of consciousness make more immediate and honest contact with reality and have much higher bandwidth than any symbol system and this gap between trustworthy reality and untrustworthy language is one of the most important dialectics shaping the human experience like impressionistic ambiguous vibes rule everything around me from marriage to the economy to world peace like we keep looking for Letters we can put our faith in but all we have is Spirit
