Shorrock et al. show that changes to alternative splicing are widespread across mouse models of spinocerebellar ataxias caused by CAG expansion mutations. The changes can be detected prior to disease onset and are repeat length dependent. tinyurl.com/ux39knhw

@AlysonSujkowski @eLife Great paper, and compelling videos! Did you look at ATXN1 expressing flies during your dissertation work? I wonder if sestrin has similar interaction with ATXN1 as it does with pathologic ATXN2 networks.

@ehekkala Amazon! Since our dept. approved it as a vendor bc supply chain issues, it's been a lifesaver for sample/slide boxes, tubes, and tips. Brand name or not, just check reviews (success w both).

The wingspan is ~9' long. The eyes are made from zigzag scallops, the wings from blood ark clams, and the body from Atlantic cockle shells. Venus sunray shells are the antenna. A ghost crab has taken residence in the A5-8 abdominal segments.

@FLPingFRTflies Do you sell these artworks as prints? I work on ovaries and would be interested in a print of this!
