When a proposal threatened the Terra Ceia Aquatic Preserve, I made a commitment to fight for it. @GovRonDeSantis signed SB 302 into law this morning. Now, the waters, wildlife and coastlines that make this region so special are protected for future generations.

One of my favorite parts of session is meeting folks who make the trip to Tallahassee for advocacy. We met with public safety professionals, students, educators, health care workers, business leaders & more. We are stronger because of your advocacy. See you in TLH again soon!

It was great to be back home in Manatee County and join so many friends at the 79th Annual Manatee County Farm Bureau Meeting and Dinner last night. The Manatee County Farm Bureau continues to do incredible work for our agricultural community.

The 60th day of session is here, and while our work continues, the Senate has delivered real results. In celebration of America’s 250th birthday this year, we’re going back to our roots and bringing portraits of Presidents George Washington and Abraham Lincoln back to Florida schools. This initiative, which Rep. @Johnfsnyder and I originally proposed in Senate Bill 420 and House Bill 371, was added to a broader education package last night that was passed by the Florida Legislature, and now heads to @GovRonDesantis’ desk for his consideration. Displaying these portraits in schools is a simple way to spark conversations with our kids about Presidents Washington and Lincoln, with the hope that they will be inspired by the honesty and integrity of these great men. May it also encourage us all to reflect on our shared history and celebrate our patriotism.

Florida isn’t waiting for the future of finance, we’re building it. As Washington advances the GENIUS Act, Florida is ready to lead. With SB 1568, we’re launching a stablecoin pilot that keeps our state at the forefront of financial innovation while preparing for the next generation of digital commerce.
