@jim_crawfurd @K_Ifti Yep it was the intensity and call back rates that were damaging to us. And a recurrent peer review of MTC saying we should be on site. 4 months in and it feels much better environment. #anecdote not data

@FOAMShED @K_Ifti Surely depends on intensity of on-calls and frequency of nights? There’s only 9 of us, and overnight disturbance relatively uncommon, so I’m not in a hurry to switch. Are there other benefits?

@FOAMShED @andybaillie1980 @gala1871 @DrSimonMc Do your juniors know this though?? Do F2’s generally come for 4 months, how about one month of the normal? Evaluate how both groups feel, brain storm idea for future working, trial 1 method a month 4 next 3 months and evaluate at at end of each month. See what works well 🧐

@RothEdEducator @andybaillie1980 @gala1871 @DrSimonMc I find a ‘lurker’ as distracting as being interrupted, sometimes more so. Would rather a quick stop. Can then Return to task at hand. Neither of this is good for the brain. Which is why I try and write notes in with the patient. With the curtain closed.

@andybaillie1980 @gala1871 @DrSimonMc I agree it sucks, I feel it when I have to ask someone to review/discuss a case, lurking/watching for the right moment to ask. We need to think smart about how to solve this as juniors have to get cases reviewed, but we know interruptions are also not good for patient safety.
