During the Africa Heads of State Human Capital Summit, I had the pleasure of participating in the Panel Discussion on the topic: “Are We Ready to Invest in the Education and Productivity of Young Africans?” I highlighted the importance of #HumanCapitalDevelopment to harness #Africa’s demographic dividend for a united, peaceful and prosperous continent. I shared #SierraLeone’s landmark investment in its citizens through #education, demonstrated by the substantial budgetary resource allocation to education by my Government. Over the past five years, our flagship Free Quality School Education Program has propelled us to remarkable achievements, resulting in an unprecedented surge in school admittance and university entrance examination pass rates. My Government’s comprehensive strategy towards education including our radical inclusion policy is promoting access to education at scale. Looking ahead, the focus of my Government in the next five years centres on translating our Human Capital investments into the development of a highly skilled labour force equipped to tackle the challenges and harness the opportunities of 21st-century industries. My commitment is to ensure that our youth are adequately skilled and given the enabling environment to thrive to be productive citizens. #InvestInPeople
