Raphael Tuju's story is a Movie. During Jubilee days, Raphael was living in a rented property owned by a mzungu in Karen, suddenly when they fell out with those who were in power with him, he heard that someone wanted to buy the property from mzungu and at that time he did have money. The other person had the money. Tuju then decided to approach EADB Bank for a quick loan to buy the property himself. The idea he had at the time was to buy the property then develop it by building housing units and sell to recover money to pay back the loan. The Bank promised to give Tuju money in 2 phases; Ksh932M to buy the property and a further Ksh270M to develop housing units on the said land in Karen (later claimed it was Ksh290M). EADB Bank paid Ksh932M directly to the seller(mzungu) but failed to disburse Ksh270M for Tuju to develop houses. Those who wanted the property had already gone ahead of Tuju and found a loophole in the loan arrangement. Tuju's agreement on Ksh270M was just verbal, no signed documents or whatsoever anywhere. The bank upon paying mzungu chose to deny Tuju the extra Ksh270M and Tuju took them to court. Remember throughout this time, The Bank has the tittle deed. Unfortunately, Tuju lost at High Court of Kenya, rushed to Supreme Court of Kenya, lost the case again. Took the case to a court in London where mzungu was residing, lost the case again and that's how EADB Bank won and decided to auction the property. The property has already been auctioned and those who wanted to buy it then have successfully purchased it through Stabex International Limited.

Cancer patients at KNH left without access to advanced radiotherapy after the facility's LINAC machine broke down due to a lack of spare parts. It has cut the KNH’s oncology capacity in half. But let’s focus on a private medical facility up the road shall we? #KNHlivesmatter.

Today, after a solemn church service at Weithaga in Murang’a County, I paid my respects at the gravesite of the parents of former Murang’a Senator and current Jubilee Director of Elections, Hon. Kembi Gitura. In that quiet moment of reflection, I honored the family values and legacy that shaped a distinguished leader and devoted servant of the Kenyan people.

Important conversations often begin by asking difficult questions about who is seen, who is heard & who gets to make decisions. During our X Space, powerful reflections highlighted the need for greater representation and a shift in how women’s stories are understood and told 👇🏽

“The struggle of man against power is the struggle of memory against forgetting”- Milan Kundera. Keeping the memory of the 25 June martyrs is an imperative, a responsibility. Keep doing what you are doing, @okayojoshua ✊🏿💕

@okayojoshua Lives were lost, truly devastating. But more hashtags won't employ our youth or build Kenya's future. What's your actual solution?

Happy International Day of Care! Care work is never easy, especially when it’s unpaid. Every act of care comes with sacrifice, caring for the sick, children, the elderly, or keeping a home running. 🧵
