I’m not on the FH this week but I’m helping a mate to build one. He’s 39 points behind in his ML vs a template player. What are your thoughts on this semi CoVar differential approach? 4-3-3 (Rogers 1st sub) Stacks: • Raya is chalk & low upside. The Mavro stack with Herm is powerful for saves, DC & threat. Summerville is a solid budget sub. • Gabriel + Timber are the highest upside DFs for ARS. If Timber doesn’t play, Rogers comes in. Kai is a great differential that will cause problems and should play even if Gyko does. • Wolves is the fixture to target regardless of perception about Spurs. Xavi & Solanke GI pairing with a complimentary Porro (set piece and xGI). • When Watkins is 🔥 it’s time to jump on. Fulham don’t tend to concede many though… Rogers pairs well with him but is my 12th man… Solos: • Bruno is the chalk captain and a bit of an EO hedge, which isn’t very CoVar. I don’t think it will be easy against BRE & they’re good at defending set pieces so don’t want to 2x • Salah is arguably the next best cap. Palace will go full strength & they’re a good team, so not sure about doubling when there isn’t a clear option. Fades: • Raya - covered above. Low upside. 2 or 6 points. • VVD - LIV don’t defend well, especially against transitional teams and if Sarr plays, they’re in trouble. With that prediction it means you’re looking for a goal or DC and I like fading this popular pick. • Bowen - his goal threat has gone right down and I prefer goal scorers. Everton are fairly robust too and won’t give up many chances. The league state for both teams should lead to a cagey affair, which hopefully means a CS and DC. • Rice - low upside, I expect him to DC though. • Mbeumo / Cunha - see Bruno comments • Gakpo / Wirtz / Szobos - see Salah comments • MGW - strip away the hat trick and he’s not really a goal scorer. NFO don’t need to win but could do with a draw, so I can see them holding back a bit and Sunderland will be eager to tighten up again at home. He is on form though and a mini Bruno. Summary Overall, I’m pretty happy with this apart from not fully stacking. What do you think?

#GW33: Van Hecke of a Week 👉🏻 122pts 🌍 189k >114k Great week and a nice jump. Can’t deny I’m a little disappointed I went for the “spicier” Mitoma pick, while Gross returned all 3 games. I then compounded it by deciding he wouldn’t start (he didn’t) & selling him for Enzo 😅

@Hibbo_FPL @FPLMatthew I wasn’t arguing BB33 had lost though. It clearly hasn’t. I was cheesed about dropping the ball by picking (then selling) Mitoma. BB did well. I just wanted maximum gains. I need them. I was arguing that you can’t include your 1st bench in your BB tally if you started Pedro 🏃🏻‍♂️

@FplMfdoom Yeah, that's awful luck mate. I very nearly moved Mitoma to Gomez and eventually landed on Enzo (wish I'd just held Mitoma)

Here’s a mini bonus point + DEFCON roundup after last night’s OPTA update: 👉🏻Van Hecke will lose his bonus point. Van Hecke lost a valuable recovery point (-1bps). In fact, Boscgali will also lose 1 bonus. He actually gained a foul won (+1bps) but crucially lost a successful tackle (-2bps) = 1bps loss. This means just Danny Welbeck is the only player leaving the game with 1 bonus point. Why does he get bonus for playing just 10 minutes? Scoring a goal for a striker is the highest possible bps award (+24bps). Add that to his subsequent shot on target (+2bps) and playing time under 60 mins (+3bps) = 29bps! The bps system heavily favours midfielders and defenders. Strikers need that large bump when scoring as they have fewer avenues to gain bps. In fact, they often lose a lot of bps for chances missed but he didn’t play enough time to lose any. 👉🏻Mitoma and Caicedo both fail to hit DEFCON too sadly. Sorry to be a bearer of bad news to Van Hecke owners, turns out a simple recovery was a deciding factor. Tonight the OPTA changes will come too late to affect FPL so this is the last meaningful update until the weekend when we go again! Thank you all for reading as always! #FPL
