@FPLNightmare Yes but here's the thing: Realistically you'll be deciding between Ballard and Hume, assuming he's nailed. - They both get CS pts - Hume plays RW against 2 of the 4 weakest teams IPS FUL, and Ballard might hit DC which is usually hard vs weaker teams - Saves you 0.5m

A lot of hype about Trai Hume being an OOP defender at RW. He played RW eleven times last season. In those games: - One goal - zero assists - one clean sheet - zero defcons I understand the temptation at £4.5m, but the evidence suggests there are far better options out there.

@FPLNightmare It’s old school FPL play - the whole OOP fullback playing as a winger. Defcons mean we basically never need to take these punts unless the upside is huge

This time last year, we were hyping up Diouf, Agbadou (particularly @FPLNightmare), Wan-Bissaka, Arias, Strand Larsen, Fullkrug, Ait-Nouri and Nottingham Forest defence. Which #FPL players do we think will be flops after being hyped in pre season this time around? 🤔

@Klopps_Mug_ @FPLNightmare Because you're relying on attacking returns and they barely come these days, the prem is not the same anymore when Cancelo and TAA etc used to score/assist for fun. Munoz is the only exception but even he doesn't boast the same numbers, and then there's the advantage of DC.

Interesting thoughts on Kerkez from Ishaan, but ... 2 goals - 12 points 6 assists - 18 points Just need a defender to hit defcons 15/38 times to match that, before any attacking returns for that defender are factored in. #DefconDaddies

Late night thinking 💭 Could we see Kerkez become a focal point for Liverpool this season? Iraola now Liverpool manager, let's remember the 2 goal and 6 assist season Kerkez had in 24/25, along with the 9 CS's Fast forward to today and he got an assist Vs Leeds in a pre season friendly Truffert, who was his replacement at Bournemouth got 1 goal and 6 assists last season in that vey system, but he also managed to get 8.02 DefCon per 90, showing he can hit it on occasions The Caveat? Liverpool's shaky defence doesn't help them, shipping 4 against Leeds in pre season. Yes it's pre season and VVD still has to come back, but this feels like a bigger fire, as well as their inability to defend set pieces Obviously at 5.5 it's a big risk with Gvardiol, Mukiele and Arsenal defenders all at the same price, and 5m options offering better for cheaper, but there is a player waiting to be unlocked again, and he's reunited with an old manager
