@KanjiFPL Wasn't immediate but I was pretty hot on it from around November/December time, just never let me down. Definitely worth looking at those home rotations next season, always some good pairings. Fernandes & Haaland always guarantees a home captain, for example.

BRUKIELE If you'd always started Bruno G & Mukiele at home with the other first sub, Brukiele scored: 196 points. With Rodon as the 4m sub for the 4 GWs they were both injured, the total becomes: 214 points. Only Haaland & Fernandes have beaten that. Brukiele is elite.

@torpiii13 West Ham had everything to fight for and were terrible 😂 you can see it as 'motivation' or you can see it as 'intense pressure', which can be very debilitating to performance. I feel Osula has enough personal motivation too. You don't have to get him though.

@FPLNightmare yeah, i'm not saying they are necessarily bad buys, i'd just go for one of the players from the teams that have absolutely everything to fight for. Osula might be fine, but if there are 10+ players who are just as good and will have more motivation, why would one go for Osula?

@torpiii13 Newcastle still trying to finish above Sunderland. Data shows when teams have nothing to play for they score more goals, but also concede more. Exact same argument could've been made in GW37 😘

@FPLNightmare Fulham-Newcastle, one of the games with teams that have nothing to play for. their players might be a keep, but i would avoid buying them

@FPLNightmare people have been making transfers, not reaching more than 2-3 FTs and still having a successful season. you're just biased!

Genuinely think defcons and five transfers are a big part of the reason for this. The game now actively rewards doing nothing most weeks, whereas with two transfers we were forced to chase hauls or lose transfers. The decline of quality in the PL is only part of the story.

@dis_fpl @FPL_Hunt Yeah, I must say, the most fun I had this season was when I had Garner and Anderson in midfield. I do think it will be interesting to see how playstyles evolve next season if the attacking returns increase. Think having a consistent strategy will be crucial.

@FPLNightmare @FPL_Hunt No worries buddy, it's not about right and wrong for me just making sure the wrong messages/feelings are not spreading and taking hold. There has been alot of, imo, unfounded blame towards defcon where in truth at least for me, it saved a tragic season from total obscurity.

I have focused on DC lots when discussing this, but an underrated factor is so many top teams overhauling their attacks last summer. Arsenal, Man Utd, Liverpool, Chelsea, Spurs, Newcastle all had new strikers, none of whom consistently shone. Makes it much harder for points.
