As the @FSUCoM and the Florida Institute for Pediatric Rare Diseases (@FSUIPRD) recognized Rare Disease Day, reminders of the urgency of their mission were all around the College of Medicine rotunda — the patients and families whose lives can be changed thanks to improved screening and care. Rare Disease Day is a global movement raising awareness for the millions of people with one of more than an estimated 7,000 identified rare diseases. FSU College of Medicine welcomed 38 Pre-Med Program juniors and seniors from Panama City's Mosley High School & 4 chaperones for a tour Jan. 29. It was the first stop on a three-day tour of Sunshine State medical schools. UF in Gainesville and UCF in Orlando complete the tour.
