As summer approaches and more boaters take to the water, the risk of vessel strikes increases for the sea turtles that inhabit Florida’s coastal environment. Sea turtle conservation and management expert Mariana Fuentes (@FSU_EOAS) recently published a study identifying places on the U.S. Atlantic and Gulf coasts that expose protected turtles to the highest risk of vessel strikes. She's also part of a statewide educational campaign called “Boaters for Turtles.” Fuentes is available for interviews. For more information, visit: fla.st/Q6RC8SHN. @FloridaState @FSUResearch
