Meet #FSUStudentStar ⭐ Mani Tyagi, a doctoral candidate in @FSUSciComp! Tyagi’s research at @FloridaState advances the mathematical methods used to model materials, utilizing high-performance computing to solve complex challenges in physics. This work aims to improve the accuracy of how we predict the behavior of materials simulations essential to modern technology. To read the full story, visit: fla.st/OPOL6R37.

.@FloridaState in @abc27 ▶️ A new research project by Ming Ye (@FSU_EOAS / @FSUSciComp) will employ a robot called Sunfish and human divers to create 3D maps of a cave system spanning nearly 45 miles beneath Leon and Wakulla counties. This work aims to find the water sources feeding into the Wakulla Springs basin, which provides drinking water to nearly 10 million people. There's only ONE week left until @FloridaState's spring commencement ceremonies, and we're celebrating our #FSU2026 graduates! 🎓 Cole Pridgen will cross the stage on Friday evening to accept his bachelor's in computational science from the FSU Department of Scientific Computing (@FSUSciComp). His Honors in the Major research analyzed various convolutional neural networks — a type of deep learning model — and assessed their ability to classify lymphoma subtypes. "This experience was impactful toward not just my own personal diagnosis with Burkitt's lymphoma, but understanding the importance of high-level accuracy within clinical applications and the use of computational methods in medical practice." After graduation, Pridgen will pursue a master's in data science at @Columbia, and this summer, he'll be a business operations analyst for Hatch, a platform for AI-driven business solutions. For more on FSU's upcoming commencement ceremonies, visit: fla.st/HAF2Y45I. To learn more about Pridgen's FSU journey, keep an eye out for our upcoming feature spotlighting some of our outstanding @FSUartssciences graduates!
