@London_W4 After a tasting session with friends which imclude pea flavoured gin, one remarked they could really taste the 'peaness' in it. Much mirth to be had. 😂

In a pub this evening in Hackney and as I stood at the bar to order my glass of wine, a bloke on a barstool asked if I’d tried their pea flavoured vodka. “As it happens, I haven’t” I replied. Well you should, said he and slid a glass of it along the bar to me. I sipped away at it and declared it to be most pleasant and indeed, pea flavoured. It’s locally made it turns out. The barmaid showed me the bottle. I’d never heard of pea flavoured vodka, nor have I seen vodka served in a wine bottle. Tonight, I have broadened my horizons though and my mind. Cheers 🥂

@afneil That's accurate and its what you get after 14 years of a Conservative Govt commitment to UK Defence. Army and Air Force levels don't look much better. Its easy to blame procurement or too many Admirals or all sorts of guff but responsibility lies with the government of the day

Happy to be corrected by naval experts. But by my calculations the entire Royal Navy surface fleet of warships consists of: Two aircraft carriers Six Type 45 destroyers Seven aging Type 23s And of these 15 warships only three are currently active (soon to be four if HMS Dragon leaves port tomorrow. In any sensible estimation of deployable capability we don’t really have a Navy, do we?

@London_W4 Croatia is lovely. During the troubles there we used to helicopter down to an island called Brać and stay in an old hotel. Do some recreational activities and just have some time out. Or down to Split, Trogir waiting for our flights home. Happy memories. Beautiful country.

Trying to get my medical records transferred from one hospital to another is no mean feat, I've spent the entire afternoon on the phone between two hospitals and two docs. I'm on strict bed rest and I'm feeling pretty stressed, but I'm finally getting somewhere. 😂

Dealing with my dad's estate, I paid a debt to Epsom &Ewell council. I read 8 as a 5. Ive now a ltr asking for the difference & if I dont pay the outstanding amount, theyll take action to recover the debt. THREE PENCE!! How much did the ltr cost?

@NormanBrennan Have dealt with too many of these. A moment of bravado can be life changing for all those involved. Just walk away. A punch is not worth it.

Looks like a Bunch of school kids; when I see such punches & a person hits the ground with a thud I recall the One Punch Homicides & yes I’ve looked after such bereaved families it’s often not the punch but the brain haemorrhage that cause the death👇🤷‍♂️🙄

Good afternoon all. For the cops and anyone else interested. The merging of police forces was attempted quite a few years ago. I know because I was on the implementation team. After setting up logistics, resources, It etc...it was abandoned. The reason being the pen pushers at the top hadn't taken into account the difference in poll tax paid by different counties ets. I'll watch this one with interest.

I live in a busy part of Central London. I've become obsessed with watching people outside on the ring doorbell. I have videos of people fighting, having sex, drug dealing, shitting, pissing and vomiting. I want to put them online but it would be obvious where the camera is.

The local pantomime cast and crew were in the pub last night apparently. I said “Didn’t even get an audition.” Terry from across the bar says “That’s because you are a shit actor.” I love living the countryside. 😂😂
