The flaw in the “Alito and Thomas should retire so Trump can appoint their replacements” is that this Senate is so absolutely useless we wouldn’t get confirmation of any worthy replacements. On the other hand, would tepid replacements be better than Democrat appointees if they win in 2028? Undoubtedly yes. So once again, because of GOP spinelessness, we’re stuck between terrible and utterly horrible options.

It was inspiring to watch the Artemis II launch yesterday — @NASA’s first crewed mission around the moon since 1972.
