A picture is worth 1,000 words. Parents who’ve lost kids because of Big Tech’s predatory profit-driven use of algorithms gathered in a powerful vigil. They demanded Congress pass KOSA. So do I. Standing with them.

Big Tech platforms are built to be addictive. They do not care who gets hurt as a result, and I am grateful to every parent who has joined us in fighting back. The Kids Online Safety Act is the solution to this crisis.

When Big Tech companies look at our children, they see dollar signs. That’s why these companies design products to addict children and then rake in the cash. The momentum for the Kids Online Safety Act is stronger than ever. Congress needs to listen to America and pass it.

Sound the alarm! 🚨The Warriors💙agree with @fairplayforkids that the rapid expansion of generative AI products into schools is NOT inevitable. A five-year pause on all products using #GenAI in preK-12 schools would allow time for school communities, including students, educators, administrators and parents, to learn about the implications and uses of #GenAI in education, to ask questions, and to provide feedback.

I can't make today's rally on pausing generative AI in NYC schools but was proud to join @fairplayforkids & 260+ orgs to call on preK-12 schools to #PauseGenAI for at least 5 years. GenAI have all kinds of issues--discrimination, privacy, spiraling relationships, loss of learning--shouldn't be used in schools until they are proven safe.
