I've been praying the past few weeks. Unsure why.
There's good evidence behind prayer. It mimics breathwork, calming the nervous system, dropping cortisol, and quieting the brain. Daily prayers show lower depression, anxiety, and pain.
I'd like to develop a prayer practice. Growing up, the protocol was written for me. Explaining whom to pray to, the structure of the prayer, and the boundary conditions.
I don't really know how to pray now.

Today, words fail us. It’s been a long, hard battle the last few years. In times like this, the sacrifices and the struggles don’t even matter. A few hours ago we received the most earth-shattering news that our 20 year old son, Evan Roberts Locke, could not be revived after his heart stopped due to an overdose. His struggle was very public. It was used as a warning to many, a punchline to the haters but an overall reminder that even in our deepest pain, the grace of Jesus will sustain us. I’ll address the church family with arrangement details this Sunday. Please respect our privacy. He has 5 heartbroken siblings and a world of people that helped him along his journey.

@AcademicAgent_X I wouldn’t treat it in any way connected to BG2. Just think of it as a separate title and try to enjoy it for what it is. A modern game with modern sensibilities, but overall decently fun and well made game in its own right

Finally bit the bullet and bought Baldur's Gate 3 today. I likely won't even touch it for months, but you ought to know that I have bought it. This was emotionally and psychologically difficult for me. It threatens the precious, that precious being BG2.
